"What--? But, Emma, what--?" Rachel stammered.

"Your precious Emma is not here."

"Where have you taken her, you stupid imposter!" Gemma demanded.

The imposter sighed airily. "Bravery, my child."

"Well?! Where is she?" snarled Gemma, unfazed.

"Outspoken, little girl." The imposter said quietly.

"TELL ME, OR ARE YOU TOO COWARDLY?" snarled Gemma, trying to throw herself onto the imposter.

"Gemma, no." Rachel tried to restrain her friend.

"You are the clever one, aren't you?" the imposter said.

Rachel snarled.

Gemma took advantage of Rachel's anger; Rachel had let go of her.

Gemma launched herself at the imposter, but the imposter merely plucked her off as if she was a feather.

"Clever one, you tell me. Why did your friend do that?" The imposter laughed.

Rachel snarled again.

"Keep on like this and maybe I will follow her example!" she shouted.

The imposter sighed. "Childishness..."

For the first time, they saw the imposter clearly because of the moonlight. The imposter was very bulky with giant muscles and was about twice their size. The imposter was a male, in fact, and was short-haired.

How could they have thought he was Emma? How could they not have noticed?
