Pippins PoV:
Merry and I sit under the White tree, gazing at the ruins of the battle. I stare out as he tells me his tales since I left Edoras.
"She's okay?" I ask, playing with a flower.
"Yeah Pip. Safe and sound." He said, patting his hand on my back. I heard the great door open behind us, but did not turn like Merry did. I was lost in the thought of her beautiful smile.
"Pippin." Merry said, and I turned to see the small body with a head of long black hair that Julie had.
"Oh my god." I whispered, standing up. We locked eyes as a smile spread across her face. Immediately I sprinted to her, and she sprinted to me. It seemed that the world had dispersed, and it was only her- her beautiful face, her beautiful smile, and her beautiful heart.

I caught her in an embrace, both of us laughing and smiling. I saw Aragorn smile at us then walk back inside.
"I missed you!" She exclaimed, then we both pulled away. There was a period of silence, because we both didn't know what to say.
"This is the part where you say you missed her too." Merry whispered to me.
"Oh, yeah! I missed you guys too." I said.
"Oh my god that takes away the sentiment." Merry mumbled. "I'll just, leave you two alone."

He walked away as we watched him.
"Do you want to take a walk?" I asked, and she smiled.
"I'd like that."

Julie's PoV:
There was a feeling I had inside: where you're so happy you can feel your heart swell with... happiness! I held his hand as we walked along long nose of Minas Tirith.
"Merry caught me up. I'm so glad you're safe." Pippin said, making me smile.
"I'm glad you're safe too Pip." I told him as the last sliver of an orange sun dipped behind the battlefield. I took a deep breath as I chose my words.
"When I first came here, I didn't know what to expect really. All my life I've had tragedy strike in all directions in all forms. And when I met Frodo and you and Merry and everyone else, I may have been shy, but I wanted to trust you guys, and eventually I did." I explained.

"Why are you telling me this?" Pippin asked as we stopped at the edge. I sat down, letting my legs dangle off the side, and he did the same.
"Because... you give me hope. You all give me hope that there is better things out there for people. I want to thank you for that." I said. "I just wish this was all over, and we were back in the Shire."
"You never know, Julie." Pippin stated, looking at me as I gazed into the golden fields in which the Riders of Rohan emerged.
"I know." I said, turning to face him.

Before I could blink, we were kissing. For the first time, there was true happiness in my heart. I pulled away, and looked down.
"I love you Pippin." I said, smiling.
"I love you too Julie." He said, and we embraced.

"Oh and one more thing." I said, pulling away once again. "Aragorn is leading an army to Mordor. We're gonna distract Sauron to help Frodo." I explained.
"Okay! Wait... we?" Pippin asked.
"Of course 'we!' Because I'm coming with." I stated.
