Max's Pov

Me and El skated to my house she held onto my stomach the whole time."We're here." I said. Me and El got off my skateboard and I picked it up.We walked up the stairs and I opened the door for El."Thank you Maxy." She said making me blush.I walked in after her,closing and locking the door."Max! Where have you been?! I've been so worried!" I heard Billy say coming and hugging me."Im right here Billy,and I'm alright." I said hugging him back."Oh hey El." Billy said releasing me and looking at her."Hi Billy,how are you?" El asked."Im alright now that I know Max is okay." He said."El come on,let's go to my room and read comics!" I exclaimed to El."Yes! See you later Billy." El said as I grabbed her hand and brought her to my room and closed my door. El sat on my bed as I put my skateboard down near a pile of my clothes. "So what comic should we read?" El asked me laying on my bed."We could read..." I paused looking through my drawer for a comic. I found a batman comic and pulled it out saying,"Batman!" El looked at me confused."Who is batman?" She asked.

"Batman is a rich guy who has no superpowers and has gadgets and fights criminals." I said laying on my bed having El cuddle up next to me. I read the comic and the next thing I know,El is asleep holding my hoodie tightly."Aww." I said looking at El. I yelled but not too loud,"Billy!" Billy came in my room and smiled."Cute." He said before leaving my room.

~2 hours later~
I was asleep but woke up seeing El looking scared with her eyes closed and tears on her face."El! El! Wake up!" I yelled causing her to wake up crying hugging me tightly."What happened El?" I asked worried."N-Nightmare..." El said shaking."What happened in it?" I asked hoping she would explain more."I....S-saw you.... Gone...." She said putting her head in the crook of my neck crying."El,Baby,I'm not going to die. I swear." I said to her comforting her."I will never leave you,Okay?" I asked concerned."O-Okay.." El said still hugging me tightly. After what happened,neither of us fell back asleep."Max! You gotta get ready for school!" Billy said coming in my room. "What happened?" He asked worried."El had a nightmare so...I kinda stayed up making sure she was okay." I said tiredly."I'll just call in saying that You're sick and I'll call El's parents saying what happened." Billy said coming over and hugging Me and El. Billy walked out my room and called Joyce and Hopper first."El! Your mom asked if she should come pick you up and take you home?" Billy said from the living room. El shook her head no at me."She said no!" I yelled to Billy."She doesn't want you to come pick her up Mrs.Byers,I think she just wants to be with Max cause she had comforted her last night, thank you and have a good day." Billy said to El's mom and hung up.

"I'll go and get you guys some food okay?" Billy asked to which we both nodded. Billy left and went to get us McDonald's."Max?" El asked me tiredly."I won't die or leave you. Alright Ellie?" I said making her blush. After a while me and El fell asleep. "Max,wake up,I've got your food." I heard Billy say. "Ahh..." I said getting up and stretching. I heard El yawn and get up and hug me. I giggled."El how ya feeling?" I asked her."Better." She said.

"Guys, come on I've still got your food here." Billy said holding the bags of McDonald's."Food!" Me and El exclaimed at the same time. Me,El and Billy went to the kitchen and ate the food."I will never,ever,ever, leave El. And I won't die! It was just a nightmare she had. Right?"
