𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐘 - (Anakin x Reader)

𝟑𝟑 - 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞

The slam of fists on tables and raised voices was all that could be heard as night fell on Naboo back at the palace.

After the sweet little boy Lucas had revealed Anakin's thoughts...about me, Zac was less than happy. He kept his cool in front of the younglings but the second we got back, Zac was on Anakin's case like a lion on its prey.

Now, I sat uncomfortably on one edge of the rounded sofa of the living area, Kayla sat as far away from me as possible over on the other end, an ice pack held to her nose.

Anakin and Zac were stood up in front of us locked in a heated row, one that I couldn't seem to get a word into even though I seemed to be the subject.

"What are you doing thinking about (y/n) like that?! how dare you, she's MINE NOW" Zac yelled. Recently, Anakin had been surprisingly good at holding himself together in difficult situations, but when it came to this particular subject it didn't seem to bring out a good side in him.

"pfft, you might wanna check on what's yours then because from what I've seen, she doesn't seem very interested in you. Hell, have you even kissed?" he laughed intimidatingly.

Zac clenched his jaw and breathed heavily out of his nose. Anakin was definitely getting to him.

"YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE ANAKIN, YOU BLEW IT. JUST SETTLE FOR SOMEONE ELSE, LIKE...KAYLA FOR EXAMPLE" Zac pointed out his arms over to Kayla who blushed from underneath the ice-pack.

"Umm, you do realise I'm right here?" I waved over at them. They looked over but only for a second and they didn't really look at me (GIF above, pretend there aren't ships and stuff in the background). It's like I was invisible, a window for people to look through but never really look at.

"Zac..." Anakin's expression changed into a patronising smile "just face it, you're not ready for a relationship. You're getting defensive because you know it can never work out between you and (y/n)"

"you...YOU THINK YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TALK TO ME LIKE I'M A CHILD?" Zac bellowed as he stomped closer to Anakin.

"We were going to have a baby together-" Anakin started

I instantly stood up enraged, he was not about to use our baby to get the upperhand in the argument, but then Zac responded, and not a good one at that...

"OH YEAH? AND HOW DID THAT WORK OUT?"

"ZAC, THAT'S ENOUGH" how dare he.

The two men, the two idiots more like stood with their faces only inches away from each other. Everything had fallen silent as they glared into each others eyes with hatred.

Zac made the first move as he punched Anakin hard in the chest but unsurprisingly, Anakin didn't even flinch, not a muscle in his body moved as he continued to stare down at Zac.

At that tension-filled moment, the hologram table over on the other side of the room began to flash from an urgent incoming call rom the council. I rushed over to accept the call but not before shooting both Anakin and Zac a 'don't either of you try speaking to me right now' look.

After pressing a few buttons, the hazy blue hologram of the council appeared. The call had synced to hundreds of Jedi each in their designated safe location and it was Obi-Wan who began from our home-planet of Coruscant.

"My fellow Jedi, a new somewhat troubling lead on the empire has been uncovered"

"what's going on?" Anakin insisted

"it seems that we have a mole in our midst, a spy from the empire posing as a Jedi"

A commotion sounded over the hologram as clamours of chaos echoed through the hologram of the Jedi various callers.

"It's said that this spy has been amongst us as a servant of the emperor for months maybe even years now. We aren't sure exactly what their plan is but it can't be good. Extra caution must be taken, anything suspicious must be reported immediately" Mace added.

"Well I already have my own suspicions" a random voice spoke up "I mean...we were very quick to accept a SIth into the order...it's got to be her, who else would it be?"

My jaw dropped when I realised they were talking about me. Anakin turned to comfort me but then remembered I was supposed to be angry with him, so he stopped and returned to face the hologram.

"Nothing but loyal, (y/n) has been. A Jedi knight she is, look to the past we should not" Yoda replied.

A few more arguments against me sounded over the hologram so eventually Mace had to intervene with a compromise "if you are so adamant that (y/n) is a threat then what do you suggest?"

Again, I was helpless in the conversation ABOUT ME, again I felt invisible.

"For at least a few nights, have someone watch over her at all times, just to eliminate the suspicion. Master Skywalker is out on Naboo with her right? why doesn't he do it?"

"I'm not so sure that-" Obi-Wan began to voice his concern but Anakin jumped at the thought,

"I'll do it" he insisted

I rolled my eyes and finally spoke up "look I get that you maybe don't trust me as much as some of your other fellow Jedi, but I'm a Jedi knight, this isn't necessary. I would never betray the order"

"Is that what you told the Sith?"...ouch.

Fine, if this was the only way to put there minds at ease then fine. But all they'll find is that whilst Anakin is uselessly watching over me, the real mole will be on the loose causing havoc.

"It's settled then, general Skywalker will keep a close eye on (y/n) at all times for lets say...48 hours, if no threat is found, then we shall never question her loyalty to the order again. Are we clear?" Mace asked sternly.

This would be fun.
