Surly I was dreaming
Surly I was insane
Surly I wasn't thinking clearly. I knew I wasn't.
Surly this isn't the girl that I was supposed to fall hard for. But I did.
Was it wrong? I didn't think so. I mean it's not like we were related....like at all. Shay was just staying with us until she reached eighteen. It seemed wrong to like her. But I feel like I shouldn't care. I care for her and that's all that matters. Has it ever happens to you where you don't realize something or someone is really there because there's always someone blocking the view. Well that's happens to me.
When I was with Erica, I spent so much time with her and dealing with her crisis that I didn't even acknowledge Shay. Here she's been here for me the whole time and I'm just starting to see it when Erica is out of my life.
I've been in bed for hours trying to get myself together. My heart is racing and I feel like I was going crazy. The wold seemed to be spinning around me. I felt a thin coat of sweat over my skin. The strands of hair on the back of my neck stood up. And my heart was hammering loudly against my ribs. I felt the warmth that burned through my veins. I squeezed my eyes shut and opening then again.
I was surly loosing my mind. I stared at the ceeling for what felt like seconds but I knew it was longer. The door to my room slammed open hitting the wall behind it.I jumped at the sudden noise and leaned on my elbows trying to figure out who it was. My room was dark and quiet but once the door opened, the light from the hallway and all the talking made it not peaceful anymore.
"Louis, you have to get up. Mom has been looking for you." I squinted my eyes at Lottie. My room was no longer dark. The shades that was on my windows made it like a cave in here.
"Why!?" I groaned.
"Because you were supposed to be up an hour ago! I hope you didn't forget that our mom is getting married today and you're still in you're boxers and smell like dog shit." I just now realized that she was fully dressed in the pink bridesmaid dress mom bought. Her hair was curled and her make up was already done.
I looked at the clock next to me, I felt panic stricken looking at the clock it was almost ten.
God I was supposed to do all of this stuff this morning to help prepare the wedding. I ignored Lottie and shook the covers off of me. My heart roared in my ears. I walked passed Lottie ignoring her calling my name. Some of the windows were open making me shiver. I heard people talking from the backyard.
I raced down the steps not even putting on a shirt or pants. When I reached the kitchen I was shocked. Thousands of cupcakes were all over the counter and people were moving in and out, from the kitchen to the backyard.
Cake delivers, wedding planners, the ice sculpture were all scrambling. I walked onto the deck trying to find my mom. The air was a bit chilly since it's the morning, and windy but that was nothing new. It was always windy, probably since we live on the beach. The water looked bluer then it has in a long time. the sun was strong and shining down on my back. I stood in the doorway and watched as chaos was happening.
Everyone was running around trying to get everything ready. The wedding was going to be held at the beach but the cocktail party was going to be here in the backyard.
My eyes scanned over unfamiliar faces trying to find Dan or my mom but my eyes stopped at her.
Her long golden hair fell down her back and almost to her bum. She wore the red dress that she tried on. It fit her perfectly. We had orders it online since they didn't have her size. It exposed her curves making my mouth go dry. She was with the twins braiding there hair. Of course the twins were both impatient and squirmed under her touch. She say on one of the beach chairs the Phoebes hair in her fingers.
