BONNIE was feeling exhausted, though so was everyone else.

The scarcity of food and water was beginning to take its toll on the group, leaving people feeling exhausted and weak.

Bonnie stumbled across the road beside Daryl and Frankie, her hand securely wrapped around her niece's hand "Aunt Bonnie, I'm hungry." Frankie mumbled embarrassed beside Bonnie.

Bonnie sighed and ran her hand through the girl's hair with a sad smile "I know baby, I'll get Rick to take a break and I'll go out and find something okay?" Frankie nodded as she leaned against her Aunt tiredly.

Daryl rested his hand on Bonnie's arm "I'll go tell 'im." Bonnie sent him a tight lipped smile "Thanks Daryl." His Georgia blue eyes rested on Bonnie for a second too long, before he turned and walked forward towards Rick.

Bonnie's legs felt like jelly, her head felt light, as if she were on cloud nine which was expected. The group began to stop, finding places to sit down on the road and have a little while to relax.

"Alright, I'll go see if I can find some food okay? You stay with Rosita and Tara." Bonnie told the girl softly as she walked Frankie over to the two women she had grown close too.

At the mention of their names, Rosita and Tara watched as the two blondes walked towards them. Bonnie leaned down and kiss Frankie's cheek "I'll be back soon okay?" The young girl nodded her head as she sat beside Rosita.

Bonnie stood up and took off into the woods beside them without another word or glance towards the group.

Bonnie creeped through the woods quietly, hoping she would catch a few squirrels or rabbits running around for the group.

Bonnie had not spoken to anyone since reuniting with Frankie, she even ignored Daryl for a little while. She was scared, she had gone soft, too soft for her liking and that could not happen in the current world they live in.

The cracking of leaves and sticks to Bonnie's left caused the girl to spin around and aim her knife in the direction, though his blue eyes made her let out a scoff "You know, for an expert around these woods you can be pretty loud."

Daryl chuckled as he walked towards the woman, crossbow in hand "Rosita said you just left." He spoke as he reached Bonnie and they began walking together.

The blonde shrugged her shoulders "Maybe I just wanted a minute alone." She teased him as he grunted "I'm joking Daryl, you would know if I wanted to be alone because I'd tell you to leave in a very unpleasant way." She exhaled as they continued walking.

"Though, since I like you and I'm assuming you like me, I'll let it slide. But hey," she paused and looked up at him "maybe we'll make a good team."

Daryl watched her through his locks of hair that fell over his eyes, the way she moved, spoke, everything had the man in awe.

The cracking of several branches and him being pushed against a tree brought him out of his trance. His eyes rapidly looked around and he seen Bonnie stood up against him, holding him against a tree with her hand across his mouth and he could hear the growls of walkers close by.

Bonnie looked past the tree the pair stood behind and she lowered her hand from Daryl's mouth, resting it on his bicep before Daryl whispered to her "Duck." The blonde's eyes met his as she ducked, and the sound of one of his arrows whizzing through the air and crashing into bone and flesh.

"You see," Bonnie smirked as she looked up at the redneck, his gaze meeting hers "if one of them were to come out here and see us, this would be one awkward situation."

Bonnie stood up as Daryl pushed himself off of the tree, the woman could see the faintest blush on his dirty cheeks and she softly laughed "It can be out dirty little secret." She sent Daryl a wink before he pushed her gently "Shut up." Bonnie snickered from beside the brawny man.

After a few minutes Daryl looked back at the blonde "Was that you flirtin' with me?" Bonnie looked up at him innocently "I dunno what you're talkin' about Dixon."

Daryl didn't know what to do, if he were honest he kind of enjoyed it.

A few hours later, Bonnie and Daryl emerged from the tree-line with rabbits and squirrels in their hands and walking rather close to one another.

The pair walked over towards Rick "We got dinner." The blonde smiled and the leader sent the pair a nod "Here I got it, go sit with Frank." Bonnie smiled as she handed the Daryl the three rabbits she held on to.

Bonnie squeezed Daryl's bicep gently for a moment, before turning and walking over to Rosita, Tara and Frankie.

Daryl watched Bonnie walk away, the sound of a snicker brought him out of his trance "Jesus Daryl, why don't you just talk to her more? Get to know her." Carol stood beside her friend with a knowing grin and Daryl scoffed "Shut up."

He was liking the blonde more and more, the feelings were just as similar from Bonnie.
