DAY had turned to night and the group were enjoying a large dinner to celebrate the fact they had made it this long in the shitty world they found themselves in.

Drinks were flowing, food was being served and the morale amongst the group was at its highest. Bonnie was sitting next to Frankie, Rosita and Eugene on a pew towards the back of the church.

"Now young Frankie, where are you actually from?" Eugene asked as the young girl munched on her food "Australia, Victoria to be exact." She told him with a grin and Bonnie watched her with an adoring gaze.

"So that's where the accent comes from!" Tara realised and Bonnie laughed "I honestly thought you were British." Rosita muttered as she shoved a spoonful of beans into her mouth.

Bonnie chuckled as she grabbed Frankie's empty dishes "You guys want me to take yours?" She motioned to Tara and Eugene's empty dishes and they nodded, handing them to the girl with thanks.

Bonnie stood up, walking over to the makeshift sink with a sigh before she began cleaning their plates. "Hey." She heard from beside her.

Bonnie turned her head and looked up to see Daryl, with his empty dish in his hands "Hey." She responded as she continued cleaning the plates "How was dinner?" She asked him and he huffed "Was alright, did you eat?" He quickly added and she smirked.

"No, I haven't eaten yet, I was waiting till everyone else would have something to eat, then I'd have some." She wiped her hands on her jeans before turning to face him "Shut up an' eat, now." He grunted causing her to laugh gently.

Bonnie watched as he picked up a plate and spooned some beans onto it along with some other food "Here." He pushed the plate into her hands "Do you want to come sit with us?" She asked him shyly and he cleared his throat "Nah, I don' wanna bother you's."

Bonnie scoffed as she seen Rosita, Tara and Eugene get up and sit with Abraham "Would you look at that?" She faked a shocked look, causing Daryl to look over to see just Frankie.

"Fine." He swallowed hard and the pair turned and walked over to Frankie in a pew at the back of the church "Hi Daryl!" Frankie grinned up at the man as he sat on the other side of the girl "Hey badass."

Bonnie chuckled as she began to eat her dinner, though the sound of Abraham interrupted her.

"I'd like to propose a toast." He called as the room quietened down, Bonnie continued to eat as quietly as she could.

Daryl sat against the pew and extended his arm along the back of it behind Frankie and close to Bonnie. His eyes fell on the blonde, running over her sharp jawline, her high cheekbones, her long eyelashes which protected her hazel eyes.

"I look around this room," Abraham paused as he looked over all the people in the room  "and I see survivors." Bonnie smiled as she finished her dinner, she placed the empty plate at her feet and she sat back and basked in Abraham's words proudly.

"Each and every one of you have deserved that title." Bonnie wrapped her arm around Frankie, her breath hitched as her bicep brushed Daryl's fingers she didn't see resting along the pew behind her and Frankie.

Abraham raised his glass of wine "To the survivors." Everyone raised their glasses repeating his words "To the survivors!" Bonnie cheered and Frankie grinned wide, Bonnie looked around and for once, everyone was content.

Though that did not last long "Is that all you wanna be?" Abraham asked again and the smiles all fell from everybody's faces.

Bonnie sighed as she felt Frankie curl into her side, a tired gaze on her face "You tired Frank?" Bonnie whispered and the girl nodded "Yeah."

Bonnie grabbed Frankie and pulled her into her lap, though moved closer to Daryl "Wake up in the mornin', fight the dead pricks and scavenge for food, eyes open, rinse and repeat." Bonnie leaned back so Frankie could get comfortable, the young girl resting against her Aunt's chest as Bonnie wrapped her arms securely around her tiny frame.

Bonnie kissed the top of the young girl's head as Abraham continued talking and seemed to have struck a cord in everyone.

Bonnie swallowed hard as she felt Daryl's hand brush against her shoulder and the sound of Judith gurgling made Bonnie brought her back to reality "What was that?" Rick cooed and everyone chuckled "I think she knows what I'm about to say." He looked over at Michonne and Bonnie could not help but pout at the young baby and her cuteness.

"She's in, and if she's in I'm in." Tyreese looked at the infant with a smile, as did everyone in the room "We're in." He stated and everyone laughed again.

Bonnie smiled as she felt Frankie's breathing even out, signalling her deep slumber "Here, I'll put 'er down for you." Daryl whispered as he reached out for Frankie, and Bonnie helped manoeuvre the young girl carefully into his arms "Thank you, Daryl." Bonnie whispered and sent him a genuine smile.

Daryl carefully stood up, holding Frankie securely and walked over to the girls things, kneeling down slowly as he gently placed her down and pulled the makeshift covers up onto her shoulders.

He stood back up and looked at Bonnie from across the church, she sat with a small smile on her lips as her eyes moved from person to person. Daryl walked towards her and rested his hands on the pew beside her shoulders, catching Bonnie's attention "Come outside for a sec?" He mumbled and she nodded, Daryl watched her stand up through the curtains of his hair.

They turned and began walking over to the door, and outside under the moonlit sky "What's up?" She asked him softly as they walked around the corner of the church to be more alone.

"I'm goin' to find Beth, jus' wanted you to know incase I find anythin' in the next twenty four hours and disappear." Bonnie sadly smiled though nodded at his words, and what she did next shocked them both.

Bonnie wrapped her arms around his neck and hugging him "Come back to us." She whispered "Come back to me." She added and Daryl wrapped his arms around her tightly, resting his chin gently on her shoulder.

Bonnie pulled away just enough to see Daryl's face, her eyes struggling to see him in the dark.

Though, his breath fanned her face and Bonnie could tell he was close.

Daryl suddenly felt nervous at their closeness though he did not pull away.

Bonnie slowly leaned in, resting her hand on the side of his face.

Daryl slowly leaned in, their lips millimetres apart, so close yet also so far away.

Before the sound of someone stumbling outside the church pulled them apart suddenly.

They were so close, yet so far apart at the same time.
