LATER that night, everyone was sat downstairs in Rick's house, ready to sleep.Bonnie was sat between Carl and Noah, with Frankie over by Daryl.
Rick walking into the room with Judith, caused Bonnie's jaw to drop at his freshly shaved face and shorter hair "Where did you get a hair cut?" She asked and he smiled "This woman I met, Jessie, she's a hairdresser." Bonnie nodded with a grin "Might have to go see her tomorrow morning."
"You too Frankie." Bonnie turned in her seat and looked at her niece, the little girl frowning "But I like my long hair!" She pouted and Bonnie shook her head, "Bad luck."
"I'll cut my hair if Daryl cuts his." Frankie stated with a cheeky grin, earning a laugh from Carol.
Daryl raised his hands "I'm not gettin' involved in this." Frankie looked up at the man "Me either." She remarked and Bonnie was shocked, she looked between Daryl and the girl "You're naughty now, I think the tickle monster has to come out."
Bonnie watched Frankie's face drop in slight fear "No!" She exclaimed and quickly stood up with a scared smile "Yes!" Bonnie replied and stood up, watching as the little girl looked around for a route to escape.
"Daryl help me!"
Daryl looked between the two blondes, before he scooped Frankie into his arms and Bonnie sent him a playful glare "Right." The woman stood up and walked the small distance over to the pair and she tried tickling the young girl, her hysterical laughter filled the air.
"Stop! Daryl, stop her!" Frankie giggled and tried to hide more into the man's burly arms.
Bonnie grinned and laughed gently, sitting down beside them "Ok fine," she gave in "you don't have to get a haircut, but it has to stay out the way of your face." Bonnie warned her and Frankie nodded "Yes, I will make sure it does!"
Bonnie smiled, though a knock at the door interrupted their conversation.
The group watched as Rick opened the door, and Bonnie could just make out the voice of Deanna.
She walked into the house and looked around the room with a shocked face "Oh my," Bonnie tensed up as the woman settled her eyes on the blonde "staying together, smart."
Deanna looked up at a clean-shaven Rick "No one said we couldn't." Bonnie stood up in front of Frankie protectively "You said you were a family, so did Bonnie."
"Absolutely amazing to me how people, with completely different backgrounds and nothing in common can become that."
"Don't you think?" Bonnie crossed her arms and bit the inside of her cheek anxiously "Everybody said you gave them jobs?" Rick asked, leaning against the door as Deanna nodded "Yeah, part of this place, looks like the communist won after all." She chuckled.
"You didn't give me one." Rick muttered and the elder woman nodded "I have, I just haven't told you yet, same with Michonne."
Bonnie could see that Deanna meant good, but their earlier conversation just brought up too many memories that she wanted to forget.
She had to make this place work, Bonnie needed this to work for Frankie especially.
"I'm closing in on something for Sasha," Bonnie's eyes flickered over to the woman as she sat near an opened window, "I'm just trying to figure Mr Dixon out, but I will."
Deanna rested her eyes on Bonnie "And Bonnie," the woman paused as Bonnie dropped her arms by her side "I was thinkin' about giving you two jobs actually."
Bonnie reluctantly nodded, keeping her face hard as stone "I was thinking you could take up your old job, obviously before all of this, and maybe have you on the team for going on runs, with Glenn and Tara."
Bonnie looked over at Tara, then over at Glenn "I'll think about it."
With that, Deanna nodded and left the house.
"Get some rest guys." Rick turned to look at the group before turning off the light and laying down at Carl's feet.
Bonnie visually relaxed and Daryl subtly took hold of her hand "You good?" He asked and she sent him a smile and nod "Yeah, yeah."
He nodded as Frankie slipped from his lap and got comfortable on the makeshift bed beside Judith's cot.
Bonnie and Daryl followed suit, laying side by side.
"What do you think she'll get you to do around here?" Bonnie turned on her side to face Daryl as he looked up towards the ceiling.
"Dunno, there ain't much to do for me here." She frowned and shook her head "You are too important, she'll find something." Bonnie slipped her hand into his and closed her eyes.
"We'll be fine."
She tried to assure Daryl, though it was more for her sake rather than his.
