A/N
This involves medical stuff that I'm not an expert on, I've broken bones in the past so I'm using this experience as my reference. So it might not be completely accurate as of the medical parts, considering I'm no expert.
"What's even wrong with it? Why does it hurt so bad?" Morro hissed.
"It'll be alright, no stop moving it!"
Morro had just gone on his first mission with Kai and Lloyd. He was hurt, Kai suspected his arm was broken.
"Dude, the more you move it, the worse it'll get!" Kai exclaimed. "Zane'll help, he's good with this medical stuff."
Morro stopped moving his arm, following Lloyd to the medical room. "Here, you can sit here until Zane gets in here."
He nodded and sat down in the chair, gripping his arm in an awkward way.
A few seconds later Zane came in, looking at Morro's arm. The sleeve was torn and it was bloody, it was also bent in an abnormal way.
"How did this happen?" Zane asked.
"He threw me against a tree." Morro mumbled. "My arm snapped the wrong way or something and now it won't stop hurting and feeling different."
Zane looked over at Kai and Lloyd. "You too can wait elsewhere, space would be nice."
The red and green ninja left.
"Can you move your fingers?"
Morro tried to move them but winced.
"How about your wrist?"
He attempted moving his wrist side to side but flinched, hissing in pain.
Zane sighed. "It seems the arm may be broken. Let's clean the blood then do an X-Ray scan, just to be sure." He took a cloth and wet it, patting it on Morro's wound. He flinched again at the sudden cold contact but controlled himself, not moving and allowing Zane to clean it.
Once Zane was finished he put the cloth away and bandaged the wound, rolling out a machine. He held two pads and put one on Morro's lap, one on his chest.
"What's this for? And what is that thing?"
"The pads are so no damage is done to your body. And this is an X-Ray machine, it'll take a picture of your bone to show if it's broken or not."
Morro gave the X-Ray a suspicious look. "Take a picture of my bone? How?"
Zane began explaining how the X-Ray does it, and even with Zane's explanation, Morro was confused. He didn't understand how a machine could see what his bone looked like, and didn't trust it.
So that's why when Zane pushed it closer and it beeped Morro kicked it.
Zane caught the machine and stopped it from falling over, looking over at Morro. "Is everything alright?"
"Why'd it beep? What was that? Why'd it light up like that?" Morro asked.
"It beeped in preparation for the X-Ray, and the light was the camera about to take the picture. It won't hurt you, Morro." Zane pushed the X-Ray closer to use it again but Morro instinctively put his foot out and stopped it from getting close enough. "Morro, I need to use this to see the state of your arm."
Morro looked uncomfortable but he allowed Zane to push the machine closer and use it. He turned to a computer and pushed a few buttons then a paper printed out beside it. He held the paper out for Morro to see, taking the pads away and pushing the X-Ray away.
"That's my bone?" Morro asked, pointing to it. When Zane nodded he asked, "why's it cracked right there?"
"When you landed on it you must've forced it the wrong way, therefore you snapped the bone."
Morro winced and looked over at the bandaged spot. "So what do you do now?"
"You'll need a cast to immobilize the bone, not moving it will help it heal faster." Zane opened a cabinet and pulled out some materials. He held some gauze out and began wrapping it around the arm.
Morro watched as the nindroid continued, cutting the gauze at the end.
"Hold it still." He then began to wrap some hard material around it, it trapped Morro's arm in place and he didn't like it.
"Which color?"
"Huh?"
Zane pointed to the color options they had. It was simple, they had colors of the rainbow, white, and black.
"Green, I guess."
Zane pulled out the green and wrapped Morro's arm in it. The material was the same as the white, just a different color.
Once he was putting the stuff away Morro knocked on the cast, studying it. He could only move his arm side to side, he couldn't extend it at all. That would get annoying. "How long do I have to wear this thing?"
"The exact time is unknown, but it should be around a few months. You did well, for your first time getting a cast on."
"Have you ever broken a bone?"
Zane knocked on his arm, a metallic sound coming out from it. "I don't have bones."
"Oh. Right. How do you get this thing off?" Morro couldn't move it, how was Zane going to remove it when it was time?
To his horror, Zane pointed to a saw. It was a medical spinning saw and Morro hated the look of it, it looked like it'd just chop his arm off.
"No. No way, what is that thing?"
"Do not worry, it only cuts through the cast, cutting it in half. It'll only cut through the hard part, then I'll use scissors to cut through the gauze. It'll only tickle."
"How would that thing only tickle me?"
"The blades will brush over the gauze, tickling your arm and cutting through the hard part and allowing me to pull them off. The scissors have one flat end, the flat end is against your arm so it won't cut you."
Morro shivered, imagining that blade cutting through his cast. He was wishing he didn't have to wear that, now he'd be dreading the moment when he had to use the saw.
Zane seemed to see Morro's distressed expression and sighed, putting a hand on his shoulder. "If you wish, you could speak to Jay about it. Jay broke his arm a few years back and was left in a cast, he was terrified of the saw but once it happened he was alright."
Morro nodded, slowly. He took a deep breath, pushing the thought of the saw away. Zane wouldn't kill him with that saw, he'd be fine.
Zane took his uninjured arm and pulled him up. "Come, I'll teach you how to make my famous double chocolate cakes that Cole loves."
"Your what?"
The nindroid chuckled, leaving the medical room. "I'll show you."
The two spent the rest of the day cooking, Zane teaching Morro the steps for it. The two bonded, and Morro would say this, Zane wasn't too bad.

Writing this brings back memories! With the saw thing, Zane wasn't exaggerating when he said it only tickles. It doesn't cut through the gauze layer of the cast so you feel the blade through the gauze, making it tickle. It's a nice feeling, actually. My first time getting a cast off I was terrified, but it isn't too bad! The arm just feels so weird without one, you get used to having it on and then without it, the arm feels weird, like it's missing something. Then in a few days it's back to normal! Have a good day/night and stay safe!
