Morro was watching Jay play video games, picking at his cast. Zane didn't warm him it would smell so bad, and he hated showering. He had to hold his wounded arm outside of the shower as he tried to wash his hair.

It also itched. He wanted to itch it, but he couldn't reach far enough down it. He had just gotten used to carrying around the weight of a human arm, now he had to have a cast, too.

Jay looked over, a small grin on his face. "Itchy?" The lightning ninja still looked uneasy with Morro in the same room as him but he was calming down.

"Yeah."

Jay chuckled, pausing his game. "You'll get used to it. It's not too bad, just at the start it's annoying."

"Annoying's an understatement." Morro mumbled, trying to shoot some wind at his arm to ease the itchy part. As he did this he remembered the saw and slightly shuddered, but Jay noticed.

"You thinking about the saw?"

Morro snapped his gaze up and narrowed his eyes at Jay.

Jay nervously looked away. "Zane mentioned it to me, he said you might end up talking to me about it."

Morro sighed, shifting his gaze back to his cast. "I guess so, the saw doesn't look like it would just tickle. It's a spinning saw blade!"

"Yeah, it's pretty scary. But the blade won't cut through the gauze, so it'll just tickle your skin. I kinda like it. The buzz of the saw and the tickling is kinda peaceful."

Morro raised an eyebrow. "You'd like that? You're the most anxious one on the team!"

Jay scoffed. "So?"

"So a saw tearing open your cast doesn't sound peaceful!"

The two shared a moment of silence, both thinking. Both Jay and Morro are mental people, they enjoy time to themselves, to think. They enjoyed thinking things over, relaxing into the serenity of their minds. Sometimes it got out of control, but now wasn't one of those times.

"Well, what do you find peaceful?"

This question took Morro by surprise. "The sound of music. The moon at night, hugs, and sleep. It's nice, relaxing."

"I didn't take you for the type to enjoy physical contact."

"I don't. Most touches I hate, but when it's from Wu, or if it's a hug, I don't know, okay?"

"Was your dad big on hugs?"

Morro shrugged. "How would I know? He kicked me out or something, left me alone. I don't even know his name or what he looked like, let alone if he liked hugs."

"My dad left me too. I don't know where he is, he left me with my adopted parents and just left." This surprised Morro. He and Jay had something in common? Jay must've seen Morro's expression because he chuckled and nodded. "I guess we're both rejects, huh?"

Morro shook his head. "You have Ed and Edna. You're no reject."

Jay grinned. "And neither are you. You have Master Wu!"

Morro didn't say anything. He knew Wu had told him he loved him that day, but did he really? Was Wu ready to forgive him?

Perhaps Jay noticed the change of attitude, so he spoke up. "You know, Wu really loves you."

"He does?"

"Yeah! On Day of the Departed every year he'd spend time in his room, once Lloyd went to see what he was doing he saw Master with a table that had pictures of you on it. He really does care about you, Morro. Trust me."

Morro had to think for a second. Sure, Wu has said he loved him, but he meant it? He was confused. Perhaps Jay saw this so he sighed.

"I used to think that too. When I found out I was adopted? I'd thought my parents had hated me and didn't care about me." A small smile grew on his face. "I was wrong, they cared about me. Same goes for Master Wu. You might think he's mad at you but in all honesty, he probably wishes he never let you leave, that you never had died."

"You aren't joking?"

Jay shook his head. "I joke about a lot of things. I wouldn't joke about this. What do you- what do you think about Master Wu?"

Morro didn't know how to answer, so he answered honestly. "I care about him. That first day I left was horrible, I missed him but I wanted to prove myself to him. Things could've been different, if I hadn't-"

Jay cut him off. "Don't go into the "ifs". What happened happened and it's in the past, you can't change that. What you can accept is that Master Wu cares about you now and is going to for a long time."

Morro felt tears in his eyes but he didn't care. Crying was new to him, and he'd tried to hide it, but he couldn't. He simply wasn't used to being cared for, he wasn't used to someone truly loving him.

And he didn't think he ever would be.

Jay handed Morro another controller to the video game. Morro gave him a look, both of them knew Morro didn't know how  to work it.

"Don't worry, I'll show you!" Jay showed him the basics, such as which buttons to press to do simple things in the game.

The two had fun, even with Jay kicking Morro's butt each time. Jay was a skilled gamer, that's for sure. Morro didn't mind, Jay's words had really made him feel better, made him feel like he belonged in this family.
