This happens in season 9, when the ninja are caught by Iron Barron.

Morro walked around the desert area, confused out of his mind.

Yup, he died. Again.

Yup, the Cursed Realm's destroyed and trapped in the Departed Realm.

So why isn't he there?

He's still a ghost, and he seems to be in the Realm or Oni and Dragon. So far he's only seen a few dragons fly by, he wondered what the Oni were like.

Hearing shouting, Morro kept walking. He had been looking for a group of people to find some answers, maybe more people there were like him!

"Morro?"

Morro noticed that the earth ninja, Cole, was sitting behind a bush with some kid. It looked like they were discussing a plan. Why were they here, though?

"What's going on?"

"I could ask you the same question. Aren't you a bit dead?" Cole asked.

Morro shrugged. "Don't ask me about it, I won't have an answer. Who's the kid?"

"Oh! Right, Morro, meet little Master Wu." Cole introduced him.

The kid looked up at Cole. "Why do you keep calling me Master?"

"Like I said earlier, force of habit. You'll get it later."

"Hold it, you're saying that the kid right there, is Master Wu? But how?"

"Great, don't make me explain." Cole rolled his eyes and began explaining, from the Time Punch to Wu getting lost in time, and him ending up as a baby.

"That makes.. perfect sense." Morro decided, trying to comprehend it all.

Cole stood up and stretched. "I'm gonna go look for some food, could you watch Wu?"

"Erm, sure."

"Thanks!"  Cole ran off, leaving a confused Morro with Wu.

"I'm hungry," Little Wu complained.

"Cole just left for some food, you'll have to wait." In all honestly, Morro was weirded out. He wasn't used to Wu being so young. He'd grown up with a young Master Wu, and when he'd first seen him at the tea shop he was a bit surprised to see him looking so much older. But he'd gotten used to it, and now he was seeing a Master Wu who wasn't even fifteen yet.

"What's your name again?"

"It's Morro."

"Are you one of Uncle Cole's friends?"

Uncle Cole? Morro almost laughed, if he saw the other ninja he was definitely telling them about that. "I dunno, actually. You'd have to ask him."

"How do you not know if you're friends with someone or not?"

"It's complicated, alright?"

"Then explain. We have time."

Was Wu like this when he was a kid? Morro was amused. "Later kid, I'll let him explain."

"How did you get here? Did you use the magic tea like we did?"

"I don't know that either. I just, woke up here."

Wu looked confused. "Wouldn't your family miss you?"

"I don't have family. I don't know my parents and don't know if I have any sibling." Morro didn't mention how Wu was a father figure to him, that would be even more confusing.

"Oh. Do you know anything about them? Maybe we could find them!"

Morro chuckled. "Nah. I ended up on the streets when I was young, I don't even know why. Either they're dead or they want nothing to do with me."

"I bet I'd be a good father, and my son wouldn't end up on the streets:"

You were. Morro thought.  You had been a great parent. It's my fault everything happened and we were separated.

Cole ran over, holding some fruit. He gave some to Wu and almost gave one to Morro before remembering Morro didn't need food. "Was he good?"

"Don't worry Uncle Cole, the kid acted just great."

Cole groaned, sitting down and biting into whatever that pineapple looking thing was. "Don't tell the others, I'd never hear the end of it."

"I think I'm going to, since that would be pretty funny."

"Ouch." Cole finished the maybe-fruit. "C'mon little master, we've got a job to do."

"What are you doing now?"

"We're busting the others out of that camp, using stealth, a fake dragon, and chaos."

Morro nodded. "Mhm, stealth."

-Timeskip until after Iron Barron's defeated, still in the Realm of Oni and Dragon-

Morro watched the group of ninja walk over to him, lead by Cole and, Wu? He was older than before, but still looked young. He looked wise like before, too.

The wind master was so focused on figuring this out that he didn't realize how close Wu was to him until he hugged him.

"It is good to see you again, Morro. I know this is all confusing, but I'm sure it'll be over soon."

Morro hugged Wu back, noticing he was an inch taller than him. "Master, are you guys leaving?"

Wu sighed. "Yes, I believe so. My nephew's in danger and Ninjago's in need of our help, we cannot stay here."

"Oh. I understand."

"You could come with us. Faith told us what to do, we'll ride a dragon into a rift to Ninjago. I don't see why you couldn't ride one too."

That's what led to Morro being on a drawing behind Wu, hugging him from behind for balance as it started spinning. But something... weird happened.

Morro passed out during the spinning, and woke up somewhere else. Not Ninjago..

The Departed Realm.

He had been sent to a different realm. Why did that have to happen? He could've stayed with Wu, and helped with whatever trouble Lloyd was in! Why was he here now?

Morro had to accept it. There was nothing he could do, after all. He could remember meeting Wu was a kid, and although it weirded him out it was pretty interesting.

"Uncle Cole. I'll have to remember that for the next time I cheat my way out of death."
