Morro sat in his room, messing with the songs in his playlist. He was skipping until a certain one came on, so he stopped to listen to it.

Upcoming song is "On My Own" by Ashes Remain! Awesome song, I'd recommend it!

There's gotta be another way out, I've been stuck in a cage with my doubt..

He joined in, quietly but gaining volume.

"I've tried forever getting out on my own."

He continued singing, and didn't hear Cole walking by his room. Cole paused, hearing Morro song.

"Break me out, come and find me in the dark now,"

Cole slightly smiled. Morro was good! Cole personally enjoyed singing, although he felt he wasn't any good at it, so he joined in.

"I don't wanna fight alone anymore."

The two kept going, and Morro didn't notice Cole standing outside of his door. Once they reached closer to the end Morro realized it sounded... different.

He stopped singing and paused the music.  He heard a voice continue, and froze. Someone heard him singing?

After a second Cole realized there was no more music and that Morro had stopped. He slowly pushed the door open and saw Morro sitting on his bed with his phone, looking up at him.

"Heheh... sorry about that. You sounded good, though!" Cole chuckled, unsure of how the former ghost felt at the moment.

Morro stayed quiet.

"Is that your favorite song?"

Morro shook his head and played a different one, smiling slightly as the intro played.

(Small authors note- this one's called Beneath the Brine by the Family Crest! 100% recommended!)

The intro played for about a minute until the lyrics started. Morro quietly sang along, Cole listening. He hadn't heard this song. It started quiet, simple. Then it hit a high spot that he hadn't seen coming.

"Oh, young love, young dear, why have you taken me, in your fall?" Morro held the last note, his voice was so quiet but so emotional. Cole enjoyed listening to it.

A few minutes passed (the song's about six minutes long in total) then Morro noticed Cole was watching him. He stopped the music and looked away.

"Dude, that was amazing! How'd you learn to sing that well?"

Morro shrugged. "I had a lot of time in the Departed and Cursed Realm. That was one of the only songs I knew, I forgot most of them and held that one close to my heart. I sang it to myself all the time."

Cole grinned. "Well it was good. Ooh, have you heard this one?" He pulled out his own phone and scrolled through his playlist, stopping on a song Morro recognized.

(Next song is The Weekend Whip!)

"Just jump up kick back whip around and spin!" They sang together, this time loud. The whole team knew this song! They sang the whole thing, and once it ended Cole grinned at Morro again, and Morro couldn't help but laugh.

"Man, that was fun. I didn't know you were so good at singing."

"I'm not that great, you make it seem like a big deal. You're the one with practice at that school, what was it called again?"

"The Martha Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts. I'm never going back there again, singing and dancing in front of people is not for me."

Morro shrugged. "You just did though. You sang in front of me."

"That's different! I know you, I meant- I meant strangers. People I don't know, who don't know me."

"We don't know each other that well, we haven't had a real conversation yet."

Cole hesitated. Morro's right, they hadn't spoken for more than ten minutes until this day. He'd have to change that. "Then let's get to know each other. I'll go first. What's your favorite animal?"

Morro rolled his eyes. "Let's skip the small talk."

"Okay! Going straight to the big talk." He thought for a second. "Are you scared of anything?"

"I'm uncomfortable with water, and I guess I have a fear of dying again."

"And you've died twice, that must be hard." Cole bit his lip. He'd thought it was the end of the world when he was turned into a ghost, what about Morro? At least Cole wasn't killed, just cursed. Morro had been killed in the Caves of Despair, then later dragged underwater. He'd actually died, and experience being a ghost much longer than Cole did.

"Yeah." Morro coughed. "Not too fun. When I first got to the preeminent I was the smallest, considering I was the youngest. Some of the stronger ghosts picked on me, they couldn't hurt me physically, but it hurt when they talked about Wu or something. I don't even know how they knew that stuff!" He growled to himself.

"This world is messed up, isn't it?"

"Yeah." He said again.

Cole could tell he didn't like the conversation topic, so he changed it. "You getting used to being human?"

Morro shrugged and pointed to a spot in his room that had weights and other things, all part of his routine. "I'm getting there. Wu has me using those so I get used to the feeling of them. Are you?"

"I am, I've been lifting weights, doing pull ups, stuff like that, and I'm almost back to normal. It's weird, isn't it? To feel one way for so long then to suddenly feel another."

Morro nodded. "Couldn't feel pain, couldn't feel tired, couldn't feel cold. It was just... nothingness. I liked it."

Cole shuddered. "It was weird. One second I felt the breeze against my face then.. nothing. Heck, I missed feeling pain. Once I kept trying to pinch myself, get a paper cut, or stub my toe, simply to feel something. How did you like that?"

"I didn't, at first. I panicked in my first couple days as a ghost. I wanted to leave, I wanted to go back to Wu and find out what was going on. I hated not feeling anything, I couldn't even feel the wind. You can actually ask Lloyd if you want, during the first couple minutes with him under my possession I just stood outside of the museum, standing in the wind and feeling at the ground. He was confused, I could feel it inside of his head. Eventually I got a hold of myself and made it to the Tea Shop, but," he shrugged. "It was weird."

"To feel for the first time and have it taken away. That must suck."

Morro shrugged again. He was trying to play it off as if he didn't care, Cole could tell. "Yeah. It certainly didn't feel that nice, being back to an unfeeling ghost."

Cole decided to change the subject again. He played another song and sang along, soon enough Morro joined in.

"Ninja! Go! Ninja, come on, come on, we're gonna do it again,"

They spent quality time together, bonding time. That's what mattered.
