3rd Person POV (All)

Annika had been down in the arrow cave for three days in a row. Felicity had brought her some changes of clothes, which proved to be a little difficult since nothing really fit Annika's small frame. Felicity had to shop in the tweens section to get shirts that would fit, but even then she was guessing since she couldn't bring Annika in public to shop with her. Even though she had more clothes, Annika would only changed her pants and shirt, keeping the jacket and hood on the entire time

She had been watching some tv in the time Oliver and Felicity weren't there, picking up some english words from the show 'Friends'. She mostly paid attention to the pictures on the screen, but when a character had a one word line, she would repeat it as best she could

Oliver has been working on english with Annika to make it easier to communicate. Oliver realized that Annika grew up in a different part of Russia and was on a boat where the dialect was different so that's why he didn't understand her Russian (and still doesn't)

For some reason, this girl had struck a soft spot for Oliver, but he didn't know why

They are doing some exercise with english

Felicity sits over at the computer

"My name is..." Oliver says, pointing to the words on the paper as he says them

"Ma nem es..." Annika says with her heavy Russian accent, pointing to the words

"My name is Oliver." Oliver says

"Ma nem es Bruklin." Annika says

"No." Oliver says with a small laugh. "Your name is Annika." He says, pointing at her

Annika shakes her head no

"Ma nem es Bruklin." Annika says. "Ma nem ... baby...Annika." She pieces together. "Ma nem ...hee... Bruklin."

"You wanna change your name?" Oliver asks, turning his head in confusion

"Um..." Annika says, thinking and tucking a piece of blonde hair behind her ear. "Tren-say-tor?"

Oliver turns his head in confusion but then realizes

He grabs the translator and Annika talks into the translator in Russian for a good few minutes. Once done, Annika hands the phone back to Oliver and he and Felicity read the paragraphs that she spoke

After translating, Oliver and Felicity had found out that Annika is her birth name, but her and her brother were convinced that their real names were dangerous. This was because her parents had a dangerous job. Since the family was well known, the kids were also well known so the twins decided on different names. Since she is a girl and more at risk within the corporation, her and her brother came up with a different name immediately for Annika so that out in public (and in the trade in the future) she couldn't be connected back to anything

Confusing? Yeah, that's what Oliver and Felicity found out too. Annika's entire life is, essentially, a big question mark full of holes

"That's...that's quite a story." Oliver says, looking up from the phone

"What did your parents do?" Felicity asks through the translator and it translates to Russian

"Zhey...um...." Annika tries to speak in english but then goes back to Russian and it translates

"She said her father worked the sex trade, which is how her brother got into it." Felicity says, summarizing what Annika said. "And her mother held a high position in a similar corporation... Before she ditched the family."
