3rd Person POV

Brooklyn stands by the window of the hotel room, looking at the early morning sunrise with a cup of water in her hands

"You're up early." Jax whispers from behind her

Brooklyn turns around and sees Jax pulling the covers off of him in bed and smiles

"I wanted to see the sunrise." Brooklyn tells him

"And you stole my shirt." Jax says, gesturing to the shirt Brooklyn was wearing

"Maybe I did." Brooklyn says with a smile, putting her cup of water down and walking over to Jax, her bare feet quietly padding against the ground

She puts her arms around Jax's neck, standing in front of him as he puts his arms around her waist

"You know..." Jax starts. "You told me to move on. I'm never gonna be able to move on from you if we keep doing stuff like this."

"It's 2019." Brooklyn tells him

"And?" Jax asks

"And you don't meet your future wife until early 2023 and you get married before the year is over." Brooklyn says. "We got time."

Jax smiles at her, pulling her towards him and they kiss

Baby babbling is heard from a crib corner and the two pull away. Brooklyn looks over at the crib and then pulls away from Jax, walking over to Maddie and picking her up

Brooklyn cradles Maddie, bringing her over to Jax who holds her

"Any hits?" Sara asks Zari and Brooklyn as she walks in. Brooklyn has her baby monitor clipped to her jeans to keep an ear out for Maddie when she wakes

Ray and Mick carry an unconscious Mona and sit her down

"We tried to isolate the portal from today's Courier activity, but so far, no dice." Zari says. "It would help if we had the actual Courier."

"Sure, here you go." Sara says, placing broken pieces on the desk

"Okay, never mind." Zari says

"So we have a vicious monster on the loose and no idea where it might have disappeared to." Sara sums up

"He's not a vicious monster." Mona speaks up from her seat, conscious. "People just assume that because of the way he looks. He's a demigod. He used to be a king!"

Mick aims a tranq gun at Mona

"Hey, what are you doing?" Ray asks, stepping in front of Mona

"I'm seeing if this thing works on her mouth." Mick says

"Or how about we just give our guest the dignity of hearing her story first?" Ray suggests

Mick grumbles, lowering the gun before walking in

"I'm telling you, the Men in Black are behind all of this." Mona says. "They're framing me so they can keep hurting the magical creatures."

"Hurting them how?" Brooklyn asks

"I don't know." Mona says. "But Konane was terrified when they came for him. I was just trying to help him."

"Mona." Sara says. " We saw the security footage, and there were no Men in Black. Just you."

"Well, they must have altered the footage to hide the truth." Mona says. "I'm like Mulder, and those guys are the shadow government covering their tracks! It's a conspiracy! The truth is out there!"
