"Waiitttt!! "
"Hold the elevator please!!" I yelled at some random guy in the elevator as I sprinted through the lobby in all my grace.
I screeched to an immediate halt when the doors closed on my face.
My mouth fell open as I stared at the elevators door in front of me with what I assume a shocked look on my face.
Wha-
I swirled around, huffing out angrily, causing the loose strands of hair flying upwards for a second before falling back over my eyes, whilst stomping my foot in annoyance.
"Ughh son of a bitch" I shrieked exasperatedly, squeezing my purse tightly in front of me.
All he had to was hold the fucking elevator!!
It's all Evin's fault!!
Yup, that's right, because of him I am late to work today.
Because you didn't wake up on your alarm...
Because he didn't wake me up. He could've woke me up!!
Someone cleared their throat loudly and I immediately whirled around to face the owner, the instant motion causing my head to spin slightly.
I steadied myself before adjusting my eyes to look at the person.
I come across the guy standing there with an open elevator....ohhh
So he stopped it...
And I just blinked at him.
The guy I yelled at from across the lobby is looking at me with an impassive expression, his hands crossed in front of his muscular chest.
I blinked again.
Get inside you idiot.
I awkwardly scurried inside the elevator, red-faced from embarrassment.
Today is just not your day Andrea!
I pressed number 15 before moving to the other side of the elevator, away from him.
Did he hear when I called him the son of a bitch!?
So what if he did?
Ugh.. why do I care so much about what others think of me!?
"So....um... Thanks, for....uh...stopping the elevator" I said timorously in a slightly high pitched voice.
"Eh Don't bother" he responded in 'couldn't-care-less' tone.
Okay then.
3..........4.........5
Jesus Christ.....was this elevator always this slow!!!
.....6
Can't you move a little bit fast!!?
I kept my eyes on the moving numbers, avoiding the guy beside me, the nervous tapping of my shoes resounding in the otherwise empty elevator, the silence becoming highly awkward and unbearable for me.
Just for me, I guess.
"So...are you new here?" I questioned in an attempt to lighten and ignore the awkward air around me.
8.....9....
"Yes. I started last month" he answered in a pococurante voice.
Okay then, I at least I tried.
