"ℑ can't believe it. Draco and Elyse. I never saw it coming." Thomas says, making her daughter look at Draco awkwardly. They had come back home to visit their family for the weekend and announce the news of their relationship. It seemed that they were in luck, as Bellatrix Lestrange was here as well.

"Don't be an idiot. Everyone knew that Draco liked Elyse." Bellatrix muses, making Elyse snort as Draco looks away in embarrassment. "Of course, it was more obvious for Elyse."

"Honestly, I think it's great news. There is no one better for my son than your daughter, Thomas." Lucius muses, as he puts a hand on Thomas' shoulder, who smiles.

"I'm just not sure how I feel about my daughter dating someone." Thomas says, making Elyse roll her eyes at him.

"I know. It may be hard to see your daughter grow up. But, this is what our families have wanted for centuries. A linkage between the Lestrange and Malfoys. We got close with Narcissa and Bellatrix, but now we have Draco and Elyse." Lucius points out, making the two students look at each other questioningly.

"Oh, don't be so haste about things, Lucius. They're still young. I'm just so happy for the two of you. How long?" Narcissa asks the two standing in front of the adults all seated in the living room.

"Since the Yule Ball." Draco answers, making Victoria grin happily.

"It must have been the dress. I tell you, it is one of a kind." Victoria says excitedly, and Elyse can't help but sigh in annoyance.

"The dress was indeed one of a kind. Mrs. Lestrange. I can't thank you enough for your choice." Draco says with a smirk, making Elyse give him a look of disbelief as Victoria beams happily.

"Don't be such a flirt Draco." Narcissa says softly, as she shakes her head in amusement and he chuckles.

"Elyse, darling. Tell me how are your studies going?" Bellatrix asks, making Elyse smile happily.

"They're going great actually. I'm hoping to be chosen as Prefect next year. And eventually Head Girl. Although Granger is definitely a little amount of competition, I'd like to believe I'm top of the class." Elyse says in a show off manner, making Bellatrix smirk as Victoria smiles proudly at her daughter.

"A mudblood, shouldn't even be considered competition, Elyse." Lucius says, making her father hum in agreement. Elyse tries not to show her annoyance at the usage of the rude word. She may not like Hermione, but it was not a reason to discriminate on someone for being born in a different kind of family.

"He is right. But keep up the good work, darling. Your skills could be very useful in the near future." Bellatrix muses, making Thomas glare at her disapprovingly.

"Now run along you two while the adults discuss adult stuff." Victoria says as she can sense her husband's need to express his anger towards Bellatrix's comment.

"Right. We'll be around then." Draco says as he takes Elyse's hand, and leads her out of the living room. She smiles at them before they leave and close the door behind.

"Why is Bellatrix so interested in my studies?" Elyse wonders out loud, making Draco shrug as they walk through the hallways hand in hand.

"Who ever knows what goes through her mind?" Draco asks, making her giggle as she shakes her head at him.

"She's your aunt."

"As well as yours." Draco points out, making her let go of his hands as she shakes her head frantically.

"Ew. Stop. Certainly not! That would make us cousins. But she's the wife of my father's cousin. That is certain. So she's not my aunt. That would make us cousins if she were and that's incest, Malfoy." She says pointedly and he rolls his eyes in amusement.

"You're right. It's better you're not my cousin. That way I can do this." He hums and pecks her lips, causing her to grin.

"How cute, Mr. Romantic. I never pegged you for a softy." She muses, and he huffs in annoyance.
