𝔈𝔳𝔢𝔯𝔶𝔬𝔫𝔢 is excited for the second task next week, and as Elyse walks through the hallways, all she could hear was everyone wondering who the winner of the Tournament would be. She hadn't really paid much attention to it. Of course, Luna kept her updated so she wasn't completely clueless either and she did go watch the first task.

"Elyse! I can't thank you enough for your sacrifice, since you've dropped Draco he has paid so much more attention to me. I spent the night in his room." Pansy says tauntingly, as she walks passed the Ravenclaw who looks at her in anger. Elyse huffs and ignores her, even though her words had stabbed her right through the heart. She didn't realise the third person who was listening, and had decided to follow her until she sat down on a bench.

"Come here to gloat, Granger? I'm not in the mood." Elyse snaps, making Hermione roll her eyes, before she sits down next to her. Elyse is slightly shocked, but she doesn't show it.

"No. I actually wanted to apologise. For the other day. I was out of line. I had no idea what you were going through and I didn't help." Hermione admits, making Elyse look at her wide eyed. Hermione rolls her eyes again at her look of shock. "We may not like each other, but I'm not evil. I didn't mean to hurt you more than you already were. You never really did anything, so you don't deserve that."

"Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm also sorry, for lowkey threatening you." Elyse says, making both girls chuckle softly. Hermione notices the sad look on her face.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Hermione asks, making Elyse raise an eyebrow questioningly.

"Since when do you care about Draco and I?" Elyse says, making Hermione shrug.

"I don't. But at the same time I can't ignore the way you look ready to break down. I mean it's none of my business, but if you want a third non biased eye in this, I'm here." Hermione says, making Elyse smile softly.

"It's just, everyone keeps telling me he just needs time and he'll come back around. But the more time passes, the further away he seems. Now everyone is talking about him and Pansy. Of all people." Elyse huffs in frustration, making Hermione smile tightly.

"Maybe he's trying to get your attention through her." Hermione suggests, making Elyse raise her eyebrows questioningly.

"Then, he's an absolute idiot. There are better ways to get my attention than through Pansy." Elyse says, clearly frustrated and Hermione chuckles as she nods in agreement.

"Boys are idiots. Trust me I know. I spent too much time with two of them." Hermione muses, making Elyse smile softly.

"Why do you hang around them actually? They don't seem to have much in common with you." Elyse points out, causing Hermione shrug.

"Why do you hang out with Draco? There is no particular reason..." She trails off, making Elyse nod in understanding.

"It's just an unexplainable pull towards them." Elyse says, making Hermione hum in agreement. "You know, you're not so bad, Granger."

"Neither are you, Lestrange." Hermione grins, making both giggle and shake their head in amusement. "I think we just let the feud between Harry and Draco come in between us, then blamed it on academics."

"Once again, we let those boys control our lives." Elyse scoffs, making Hermione take a deep breath and nod in agreement sadly. "Why is it always them that gets us in some sort of trouble, then people see them swoop in to fix things and are seen as the heroes."

"Right? Whats up with that? They're heroes for fixing the mess they caused. Stupid if you ask me." Hermione huffs in annoyance, before she smiles up at Elyse. "Do you want to come to the Tournament with Ron and I next week?"

"You know what, Granger. I'd love that." Elyse says, making Hermione beam happily.
