"𝔐𝔦𝔰𝔰 Lestrange." She turns around and her eyes widen slightly at the sight of Dumbledore. He notices the look of panic on her face and waves her off. "Don't worry. You are not in trouble. But your mother is here. She requests to see you immediately. She is waiting for you at the entrance."

"Oh. Alright. Thank you, sir." She nods, before she walks in the direction to where she'll find her mother. Elyse wonders why she had suddenly come, unannounced to see her. Victoria Lestrange usually would communicate with her through letters, she never would come here. As she reaches the bottom of the stairs, her mother smiles softly. "What are you doing here?"

"I can't visit my own daughter?" Victoria asks, making Elyse roll her eyes as she hugs her mother. "I have not missed this place."

"Of course you haven't. The only place you could miss is the shopping streets." Elyse says teasingly, making Victoria chuckle softly as she shakes her head. The mother slowly starts walking towards the gardens just outside of the school, making Elyse follow. "What brings you here?"

"Nothing particular." Victoria shrugs, making Elyse give her look that lets her know that she didn't buy it. "How are things with Draco?"

"I'd rather not talk about it." Elyse looks away, Victoria notices how her nose flares and jaw clenches in anger. It didn't take genius to realise something was wrong.

"What happened?" Victoria asks softly as they stop near the Quidditch field, and they can hear in the background as the players practice for their matches.

"He's just... I thought I knew who he is, but I feel like lately I don't know him anymore. One second he's the Draco I know, the next he's a bloody idiot." She huffs, making Victoria smile softly as she slowly starts to put all the pieces together.

"Does it happen when he's around his Slytherin friends?" Victoria asks, making Elyse look at her in shock, not expecting her to have immediately understood the situation. Elyse just nods, making Victoria take a deep breath. "You know the way, you're willing to sacrifice everything for your academics? Draco as a Malfoy, has a certain responsibility as a Slytherin. He can't be seen as soft and caring. If you had been a Slytherin things would be different."

"So it's all down to me not being a Slytherin again. Why can't I just be a normal Lestrange and have been sorted in Slytherin? I feel like I would have an easier life." Elyse huffs sadly, making Victoria shake her head.

"Don't say that, Elyse. You know very well your father and I are proud of you. You being a Ravenclaw instead of a Slytherin, doesn't make a difference." Victoria says reassuringly, making Elyse smile appreciatively.

"I just wish Draco could think the same way." Elyse says as she looks down sadly, making Victoria smile softly as she lifts her daughter's head up.

"I'm sure he's proud of you. I know it may not seem like it, but he truly does love you, Elyse. You should see the way he looks at you every time you walk into the room. It's the same look your father gives me." Victoria hums, making Elyse blush softly. "He just needs time. He has to figure himself out. Understand that sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the ones you love."

"But wouldn't Lucius be mad at him if he starts acting soft and caring?" Elyse wonders, making Victoria shake her head.

"He approves of your relationship, so don't worry about that." Victoria says with a smile, causing Elyse sigh in relief. "The way you care, shows how much you love him. I know you're trying to convince yourself you hate him, but don't. Just accept that you love him and I know it hurts, it would easier to hide behind anger, but don't. Okay?"

"Your wisdom makes me wonder if you weren't secretly a Ravenclaw." Elyse muses, making Victoria chuckle and shake her head.

"I guess yours just rubbed off on me. Now, I think I've bored you enough with motherly advice, so I shall leave you to your studies." Victoria hums, making Elyse giggle softly as she shakes her head. "Give him time, Elyse. He'll come around."

"I hope so."
