Your eyes flash to the grey haired boy sitting at the desk next to yours. Unintentionally, your eyes meet, and you both look away with pink flushed and tinted faces. Osamu had been your classmate since middle school, and every time the teacher picked seats at the beginning of the year, you are seated right next to him. Every year it's been like this, and every year, neither of you talk to each other, you only send awkward glances back and forth.

You both really haven't had much of a friendship, nor have you tried to develop one after all the years of being together at that desk. That was the truth, until today. Today was like any other day, except something was... off about Osamu. He seemed upset or nervous about something. Needless to day he seemed like he was always very calm and laid back, so for him to act so.. different was strange.

You flinch when he quickly turns to you and stares directly into your eyes. You swallow a lump in your throat that you didn't even know you had. His penetrating gaze felt like it was stabbing through you.

"(Y/N)-san. Do you..." he pauses, seemingly taking a deep breath, "wanna come work on the new project with me today?" He asks, almost looking afraid to hear your answer. Honestly, you didn't even know how to answer. It was so out of the blue and so unlike him that the question practically went in one ear and out the other.

Why was he even inviting you to do the project anyway? It wasn't like it was a group or partner assignment. Hell, it wasn't even a hard project, so why?

"Uhm... yeah, sure. Wher-" he cuts you off.

"My house, today after school. It's Friday so you shouldn't be too busy right?" He asks almost too quickly. It was like he was rambling out of nervousness.

"Alright, we can walk to your house after school together too." You say, more as a suggestion than a statement.

His eyebrows raise slightly and he nods, "Yeah, lets do that." His voice was quiet, quieter than normal in fact. It was a little strange thinking about the fact that out of the blue for the first time in almost four years, that you guys were going to hangout and...talk.

The rest of the school day went by painfully slow, both of you still not saying a word despite the fact that you'd be together later. You were still unsure by the meaning behind his invitation. You didn't understand the why of the whole thing.

At last, the final bell is like music to your ears, except the music is terrifying and nerve-racking in a way. It meant that you'd grab your things and head home with the very good looking grey haired boy, who you knew everything and nothing about after sitting with him for four years.

He stands up before you, grabbing his things and glancing over to meet your gaze. "Lets get goin' before my bro tries to walk home with us. He's an idiot." He says rolling his eyes at the thought of the other boy.

You didn't know his brother at all. You always heard the girls at school talking about how hot he was or about how good he was at volleyball. You never heard them talking about 'samu. They looked almost the same, and did similar things. Osamu was just so much more independent and uninterested in some things. That's why when he asked you out of the blue, you were shocked.

With a curt nod, you pack up your things and stand up as well, staring into his dark eyes. You'd be lying if you said he wasn't at least a little bit hot. No. This man was like a statue carved by the Greek gods. You had seem him practice volleyball before, and every time he'd whip the sweat from his face with the bottom of his shirt, you would go red in the cheeks. Your eyes would glaze over his v-line and sculpted muscles. He was hot and everyone knew it, but no one ever tried to go for it, knowing they'd fail.
