Ashton and Luke are still at each others throats over you. It may sound cute but at the same time it is not risking their friendship over. There is obvious tension between them at breakfast. All three of you are eating in awkward silence.
"What's wrong with you guys?" You spoke up.
"How would you feel if your closest friend tried to take something from you?" Ashton asked.
"I'd be pretty upset." You answered.
"(Y/N), isn't it the most annoying thing ever when your best friend keeps bitching for no reason?" Luke asked aggressively.
"Okay, I'll bite. What's going on with you two? Are you guys fighting over me?"
"No." Ashton replied.
"Obviously." Luke said.
"Listen, you guys have been close for a long time right?" They both nodded their heads. "Then don't let me come in between that. I like you both as friends. No fighting over anybody, okay?"
"Okay." They replied.
"Good now hug it out."
Luke threw himself in Ashton's arms. "I'm sorry."
"Me too."
"Great now that you two have made up wanna join me at the lake?"
"We'll be meet you their. I just want to talk to Luke first." Ashton threw an arm around Luke's neck confusing him.
"You do?" He looked at Ashton.
"Yeah we do." Ashton pulled Luke away.
Now that your settled in with Ashton you enjoying living with angels and half-gods. Everyone is so nice and protecting. One thing new that you wanted to try was fishing. You made you way to the dock and to try something different you tossed a giant net into the water. Seconds later you caught something. You quickly grabbed the net pulling as hard as you could. It was a fighter but the bigger it was, the more value it's worth. You gave it one strong pull until the fish came jumping out the water and onto the dock. It's not an ordinary fish. It was a merman.
"Please don't hurt me!" He begged for mercy trying to fight his way out the next.
"Oh gosh! I'm so sorry I thought that you were a fish and-" It hit you that he doesn't have legs. He has a blue tail. Merpeople do exist. Not only that he's was gorgeous. Blonde hair, ocean blue eyes, and body toned stopping down at his v-line at his tail.
"Are you going to untie me?" He asked nicely. You couldn't have said no to him.
"I'm sorry." You said cutting him loose from the net.
"No worries. My name's Niall." He turned sititng on the dock so his tail could hit the water.
"I'm (Y/N). i thought merpeople belonged in the ocean? And you guys exist?"
"Yes and yes. I got washed away in a storm and I ended up out here in a lake. I'm from deep in the ocean miles down to the sea floor." Niall said. You were intruged by his irish accent.
"Aaww I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Will you swim with me?" He asked with a small blush.
"Okay. I'll get changed now." You ran off the dock and straight to your room. Ashton and Luke walked around and met with you back at the camp.
"Hey (Y/N)!" They waved.
"Hey guys!" You ran past them and slammed the door behind you. Ashton sensed that you are in love.
"He's in love." Ashton announed.
"With who?" Luke asked.

"I was in a shelter before I came here. I met Ashton who's an angel and his friend Luke who's a demigod. They've been fighting over me."
"Who wouldn't fight over you? You are a nice guy." Niall nuddged you with his elbow.
"Thank you. It's getting late and I'm cold. I'll come by the lake tomorrow morning so you can catch me here by then, okay?"
"Okay bye, (Y/N)!"
"Bye!" Niall swam off into a lake.
"Did you see that?!" Ashton pointed to Luke.
"That we're losing to a merman?!" Luke crushed a rock in his hand.
"I don't know about you but I still like (Y/N)." Ashton said honestly.
"So do I. Can we compete for him again?" Luke asked.
"Sure. We should be the only two relevant guys in (Y/N)'s life. And I'm coming up on top." Ashton said levitating himself the air leaning back.
"Wishful thinking, Ash. We just have to get rid of Niall first. We could just distract (Y/N) away from the lake, Niall will think that he's forgotten about him, and he'll leave."
"Deal!' Luke and Ashton shook on it starting their plans in the morning.
They can plot against Niall all they want to but little did they know that Niall is a trained fighter as well.
