Chapter 24

*Michael POV*

"You guys are joking!" Louis replied.

"We're aren't." I shook my head.

"Are positive that (Y/N) still cares for us?"

"We're positive that he does. We wouldn't lie to you now would we?"

"I believe you three won't but Luke probably will." Louis accused.

"I'm not the mind reader, Louis. I shoot lightning." Luke defended himself.

"You could tell in how he acted around us. When we left, he wasn't ready for us to leave. He might've been on the verge of tears." Zayn adds. "And besides. Why would he want to stay with someone as weird as Kyle?"

"We're all a bit weird ourselves." I shrugged. "We have wings, fangs, fur, things (Y/N) wouldn't have."

"I'm still convinced he might be an angel because he is one." Ashton spoke up. He claims to love (Y/N) more than most of us. That's only because he was the first one (Y/N) met.

"So are we gonna try to win him back?" Liam asked.

"We already have." Louis said. "We'll just.....let time tell. And hopefully he'll leave him for one of us and if not then we will all be fighting again."

"I'm done fighting for now." Harry puts his hands up in defense. "Unless someone comes for me first, they'll catch my wrath."

"Your wrath isn't as bad as you say it is." Liam rolled his eyes.

"At least I know that you're not scared of me."

"Never was, Harry."

"I'm surprised no one is fighting right now." Niall chuckled. "Everyone is talking shit to each other without trying talking shit to each other."

"What a coincidence." Luke agreed. We all shared a laugh but it was cut short because fire shot out of the sky from the woods.

"That didn't look too good." Zayn said bluntly.

"It's probably another portal opening." Louis guessed. "Let's see what's crawling out of it."

We went into attack mode and ran towards the flames shooting out of the ground. Louis guessed correctly it was a portal opening with demons crawling out of it.

"This night can't get any worse." Calum shook his head.

"I guess I'm not done fighting just yet." Harry shrugged.

The demons crawled out of the ground in groups and started coming at us. Liam let out an intimidating howl then jets off towards the crowd in his wolf form. Harry brought out the demon in him, Zayn bit Louis so he could activate his blood magic. Niall's running off to the side. No....wait?

"Niall, where are you going?" Luke asked.

"I'm gonna wash these demons away." Niall answered.

"How?"

"Come with me. I'll show you." Niall gestured towards the lake. Luke just followed after him.

We just let them do their things and we went to the fight. Liam ripped the demons to shreds with his teeth, Louis levitated in the air shooting bed lighting at the demons with perfect aim.

"I could do this shit all day!" Louis burst out into hysterical laugher blasting every demon he saw.

Harry simply walked through the crowd of demons and as they got close to him, they flew back and got burned alive with Harry having to do anything. It's his demonic presence that's destroying everything in sight.

"Can Luke and Niall hurry up?!" Ashton yelled impatiently after slicing a demons head off with a sword.

"What could they possibly be doing?" Calum said punching through a demons body, completely phased.

"No clue." I answered shooting dark energy at my fist at a demons flying towards me. "It has to be something good."

"How good?" Zayn asked tossing a demon into a tree branch, impaling it.

"Louis, help me!" Harry pleased trying to close the demon portal himself with one of his hands open.  Louis obliged standing next to Harry opening his hand too. A force field build around the portal keeping more demons from crawling out.

The demon and the wizard closed their hands effectively shutting he portal away and all the demons that came from it. It was over.

"That was it?" Liam asked, confused.

"I have to admit. It wasn't as intense as the fight earlier today at (Y/N)'s house. But it was fun though." Zayn mentioned on a brighter note.

"Oh shit." Louis announced as his red tattoos started to fade away and began to fall over exhausted. Ashton was right there to catch him, "Don't worry guys. That's just a magic side effect."

"It looks like you've gained more control over it." I complimented.

"Thank you. Now....where is Luke and Niall?"

"Let's check the lake." I say, flying the same direction Luke and Niall went. By the time we get there, they aren't there. "What the fuck?"

"Did they really bail out on us during a fight?" Liam assumed.

"Luke! Niall!" Ashton called. "Where are you guys?"

"I'm not picking up their scents either. It's kinda like they just disappeared on us." Liam announced.

"We're all on good terms now. We can't just leave them out alone." I tell them.

"You're right. You and I can reach through the skies and see where they are." Ashton said. I agreed with him.

"The rest of us can look throughout the woods." Louis proposed the plan. We all came to an agreement and did our parts.

We've been searching for hours and still no sign of them. Ashton and I got tired of flying so we landed by Harry who was searching on his own.

"Anything Harry?" I asked him.

"Nothing at all. Calum even checked the lake and Niall isn't even there." He answered.

"First two fights and now Niall and Luke are missing-" Ashton suddenly got blasted into a tree into a tree by lighting that shot from a few feet away.

"Ashton!" I gasped in terror then looked to where the blast of lighting came from. Harry and I flew to where the blasts of lighting came from. There were more blasting towards our way and we dodged them as they came. Harry picked up the pace going in a faster than me. From where I was flying, streams of water were coming my way too. Could that be Luke and Niall attacking us?

While I'm dodging the lighting and water being fired at me, a big explosion came from the distance. By the time I make it there, everything was up in flames. And Harry was missing too.

"Harry?!" I called and go no answer. "Shit! Did he just disappear on me too.....oh shit! Ashton!" I quickly flew back to where I left the unconscious angel and he wasn't there anymore. Something strange is going on. Niall and Luke were missing first. Now Harry and Ashton. This can't be good.

I think someone or something is on to us and we have to find out what.
