A month later, Jaiden was still clean, and we were practically living together at his apartment. I'd only been to my house in the last week once, and that was only a quick visit to get more clothes. I had all of my bathroom essentials over there, and he gave me the code to get into his apartment, so I'd never had to ask the front desk for help again. With their insistence, he even added me to the apartment listing. The only reason he had any hesitance with it was that he didn't want me to freak out. Surprisingly, I didn't.

We were sitting on the floor in his living room playing monopoly when I got a call from my new editor, Paul, from Royal Tribute.

"Hello?" I asked while hopping my little metal dog across the board.

"Hannah, dear, it's Paul. How are you?"

"I'm doing well," I said, smiling, looking up to Jaiden. He rolled the dice and smiled back. "How are you?"

"I'm good as well. Do you have a minute?"

"I have a thousand," I said, watching as Jaiden debated whether or not to buy the property he landed on.

"Great! I wanted to go over a few things within your book really quickly. We've had our editors go through it, they made minor changes. It's been sent to you. Could you pull it up, by chance?"

"Yep, give me a sec," I said, holding out my finger to Jaiden to hold on while I stood up to go grab my laptop from his bedroom. I walked hurriedly into the room and picked it up. "Here we go," I said while opening it up and starting it up. As I walked back into the living room, Jaiden went into the kitchen to get us new water bottles. I checked my email while sitting down, and sure enough, there was an email from someone at Royal Tribute. I opened the attachment. "Okay, I'm opening the document now."

"Good, now, there are just a couple of things that I need to point out to you so we can get them corrected, then a few questions to go over. After that, this puppy will be ready to sell."

"Really, that's it?"

"Oh, well, and you need to approve a cover. We have a couple made up for you already."

"Wow, that's great." I looked through the document. There were small red markings here and there throughout it, but nothing substantial.

"Are you seeing the comments and corrections we made?"

"Yep," I clicked on a comment, and inside the little pop-up box was a question. "And the questions."

"Wonderful! Alright, let's start with the first one and go from there."

Jaiden sat back patiently while I was on the phone for the next hour, going over questions, making notes for myself. But when I finally put down the phone, Jaiden had wandered off to his gym-room to work out. I started fixing the small errors they found, and by the time Jaiden came back, I was done.

"Want to help me pick a cover?"

"Sure," he said, kissing me on the cheek and sitting beside me. He was shirtless, wearing just his workout shorts and tennis shoes.

"Sorry that took so long," I said, kissing him back on the lips.

"Don't worry about it." He brushed his hand through my hair and looked at my computer screen.

"There's four to choose from right now. I can give them suggestions if I like one but want something changed. I like this one the most as of right now." We were staring at a photo of a woman standing in front of a dark house. She was dressed in a black dress, with a black veil over her head. The house was old, covered in vines, and only one light came from the home, from the attic. In all of the other darkened windows, there were numerous people. The word's 'All These Lives' was scrawled in a dark, creepy font across the top. 'Hannah Brink' was at the bottom.
