The outer rim sieges. Anakin hoped they would be quick, but he had a feeling they would take a very long time. The 501st and the 212th legions were sent to Cato Neimoidia, with Anakin and Obi Wan in command. Anakin felt they should have sent more Jedi to make the trip go faster, but the council didn't agree with that.

They landed on the surface far from the city. "Rex, Anakin and I will rendezvous with you, Cody, and the Battalion in the capital city." Obi Wan briefed them on the plan, and then Anakin and Obi Wan got out of the gunship and started to hike,

Hours passed and they continued on. Obi Wan and Anakin walked in silence, but their thoughts were loud. Obi Wan still thought of the recent events with Ahsoka. Finally Rex contacted them, breaking the silence. "Sir we are in position." "Copy that Rex. We'll see you by this time tomorrow." Anakin said. "They could be run over by droids... we must hurry." Obi Wan said. "I'll call Ahsoka, she can-" Anakin trailed off and Obi Wan stopped walking. "Anakin-" he started. "Forget it. She's gone." Obi Wan definitely sensed his distress. "Do you want to talk about it?" "What's there to talk about?" Anakin spat. "Nothing I suppose." Silence again. "How about we set up camp?" "Whatever you say Master."

Anakin ate slowly from his ration pack. It was not the most enjoyable food, but for missions like this it would have to do. He couldn't stop thinking about Ahsoka now. All he wanted was for her to come back. Where was she? Was she ok? What was she doing? "Anakin... dwelling on Ahsoka's decision will not bring her back." Obi Was said, worry in his voice. "Master... how could she just walk away? After everything?" "It was a surprise decision to all of us." "She's a Jedi! She belongs with us!" Anakin yelled. "When the moment came the council turned their backs on her! She didn't deserve that." "I agree with you, but the council didn't have another choice, and they followed the force." "I'll bet you voted for her expulsion." Anakin snarled. Obi Wan was taken aback. "Anakin! I didn't have a choice! And she could have come back, but she followed her feelings. You should get some rest." "I'm not tired." Anakin said in a low voice. "I'll take first watch master. Go ahead." Obi Wan laid down in the dirt. "You need to learn to let go Anakin." "Master how would you feel, if I failed you. How well would you sleep?" "Not well I suppose." Obi Wan said. "Good thing that will never happen."

"General Skywalker! You are needed back on Coruscant immediately!" Rex said. "Something has happened. "How urgent is it Rex? We're so close to taking the city." "I don't know sir, but the council is requesting all of us back." It was the next morning, and they had fought countless battles, and now it was all for nothing. "Alright let's head back." Obi Wan said. "I wonder what it's for." Anakin whispered.
