No Longer Alive (COMPLETED)

Chapter Seven

A white translucent ceiling greeted me when I opened my eyes. Sinubukan kung galawin ang kamay ko pero hindi ko magawa. I also tried to open my lips but I also can't. My body is like in a comatose state but mind is already conscious.

Nang libutin ko ang aking paningin, napagalaman ko na wala ako sa isang ospital. This room seems to be a hotel room but the atmosphere tells me otherwise. Is this just a regular house?

Pinikit ko naman ang mga mata ko at nanghihinang napabuntong hininga.

I thought death is really going to come over to me.

I was definitely glad that time. For so many years, I tried to escape from my cruel fate but I always ended up in failure. Palagi nalang akung pinagkaitan ng kamatayan na siyang magpapalaya sa saakin.

Now that I'm a finally free from the shackles and about to welcome death, someone just interfered.

Palagi nalang ba akung paglalaruan ng mga tao?

Wala na atang magagandang nangyayari sa buhay kung ito. Naaliw pa ang mga nasa itaas na nakikita akung humihinga parin kahit mas masahol pa sa kamatayan ang pinagdadaanan ko?

A creak from the door caught my attention. Two blurry silhouettes came into view and slowly approached me in the bed.

A man in his white clothes resembling a doctor checked my vitals while the man in a black suit pulled a random chair inside the room and put it beside the bed.

I couldn't see things clearly. All my senses seemed to weakened because of my critical state. I even need a help from the manchine in order to normally breathe.

Nanatili lang akung nakatutula habang may sariling pinagkaka-abalahan ang dalawang lalaking hindi ako pamilya.

The man in white finally stood straight and walked closer to the man in a suit who's been silently watching the scene in front of him.

"Attorney, the patient is now in a stable state however she needs proper attention and care so that her body will be fully healed in about one week." The doctor explained to the man.

"Can you give me a list of everything that she needed?" A deep and low voice coming from the man asked.

"Yes, Attorney. Everything is ready for the patient."

The man in a black suit nodded to the doctor then he glanced to my direction.

Nang magtagpo ang mga mata namin, ilang segundo kaming nagkakatitigan. I couldn't properly see the man's face, all I can see is his tall and built figure.

Ibinalikwas na niya ang kanyang tingin nang walang sinasabi saakin at agarang tumayo.

"Let's leave her to rest. We can further talk outside or in my office." The man said and the two of them exited the room quietly.

Dahil na rin sa kahinaan ng aking katawan, muli ko nang pinikit ang aking mga mata.

Nang muli akung nagising, nakita ko ang misteryosong lalaki sa tabi ng aking kama at may kasamang isang katulong na may dala dalang tray na puno ng pagkain.

He ordered the maid to put it in the mini table beside my bed. Lumabas na ang maid pagkatapos niyang gawin iyon.

The man looked at me momentarily then took a seat on the leftside of the bed. Ang mga kamay niya ay may mga dala ng bowl at kutsara.

"You need to eat, let me feed you." The nameless man muttered.

Kahit na hinang hina ang aking katawan at mabagal ang pagbuka ng aking mga bibig, wala siyang naging reklamo at matiyagang naghintay sa mabagal kung pagkilos.
