Chapter 3 - The Wedding

Soon it was the day I dreaded the most. My Wedding. Maybe I would find it pleasant if I was marrying someone else. I'm not saying Daisy is bad or anything. It's just I never imagined the day that I would be married to her. But my one true love Luke. I worry about the future. Will this all go to plan?

Luke: "Prince Baine you need to be out soon in time to prepare".

Zander: "Luke as I said multiple times before no need for formalities".

Luke:"My apologies Prince Baine".

Zander: "Can you help me with this the idiotic tie? It isn't working".

Luke: "Of course dear"

Zander: "Look Luke, I know things might become more difficult as soon as Daisy and I get married-"

As soon as those words came out of my mouth I knew I had made a mistake. He had look hurt. As his love would marry someone else as he had to watch it all happen. How selfish of me not to ask about what he feels. Zander how stupid you can be.

Zander: " I just want you to know that I'll always love you. And only you. Nothing will ever happen to change my feelings. Because Luke you're the most important thing to me in this cruel world."

Luke: "I know and I love you too, but I guess I always thought that we would get married. I know foolish of me to think so but-"

Zander: "And we will. I promise. We just have to wait a bit my love"

Daisy: "Zander? Luke? We need to talk now!"

Zander: "My lord Daisy how rude we were just in the middle of a conversation-"

Daisy: "Zander shut bloody the hell up for a moment."

I step back. Daisy had never once snapped at anyone before.

Daisy: "Pardon, that was quite rude of me. I beg for your forgiveness."

Zander: "It's alright I guess. Now why did you barge right in?"

Daisy: "My father knows"

Luke: "Knows what?"

Daisy: "He knows that the file is gone! And if he finds out I was the one who took it without his permission. I'll be the dead girl walking (please someone tell me they get this reference-) on my own wedding day."

Luke: "Well what do we do?"

Daisy: "I- I don't know!"

You could see tears begin to form. As Luke was trying to comfort her I was questioning if we even had a future. Is this the end? Once they find out our plan we'll all get killed!

Luke: "We just can't raise suspicion. If we do it will cost us our lives."

Zander: "Luke is right we have to stay on the low about this. After the wedding we act normal. No sneaking around as such. We need to keep quiet. Your father can't find out you have the file. We clear?"

Daisy: "Yes of course".

Luke: "Now let me take Daisy back to her room, as the soon to be husband and wife aren't supposed to batter an eye before the wedding."

Timeskip

Pastor: "Now do you Zander take Daisy to be your lawful wife to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

Silence.

Daisy: "Zander?"

Zander: "I do."

Pastor: "Now do you Daisy take Zander as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

Daisy: "I do"

Pastor: "May I have the rings, please?"

Zander: "I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love for you.

Daisy: "I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love for you."

Pastor: "By the power of your love and commitment, and the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride."

I take a quick glimpse of Luke. Then back at Daisy. As she mutters something to me.

"I know you love him, but this marriage won't be for long. After that we can both go our separate ways."

I nod my head as I lean in for a kiss to celebrate our matrimony.

And with that I was married to the one I didn't truly love. As my true love had to watch it all happen.
