I just finished my 4th year at hogwarts and this year I was staying with the Weasleys at the burrow. Ron and I had become very close over the years and since my parents passed when I was a baby, I've been staying with my grandma. This summer she's allowing me to stay with the Weasleys. I loved my grandmother but she was not the most interesting person.
Once Ron and I arrived at the Burrow I instantly noticed how hectic it was."Mum! Where are you?" Ron shouts.
"Oh Ronald! Finally! You must be Emily nice to meet you dear. Ron you take her up to Ginny's room."
"Yes Mum."
"Hi Mrs Weasley thank you for letting me stay with you this summer. Your home is amazing!"
"Why thank you dear! And it's my pleasure! Any friend of Ron's is family to us."
I smiled at her. I already knew I was going to like her.
"Mum! Have you seen my sweater? George keeps hiding it!" A tall boy older than Ron bounds down the stairs.
"Well hello you're new! I'm Fred!"
"Hi I'm Emily."
"Ah Ginny have you seen my sweater?"
"No Fred I haven't," the girl respond drudgingly.
"Hi I'm Ginny! You must be Emily, Ron mentioned you'd be staying with us this summer!"
"Hi Ginny it's nice to meet you."
"Fred usually I do take your sweaters but this time- well hello. I'm George. The better looking one," while the two were identical George had a softer expression.
"Hi I'm Emily."
"Ok ok now that we've exhausted the greetings I'm going to show Emily where she's staying Ginny she'll be rooming with you." Ron's arms were starting to shake from carrying one of my heavy trunks.
"Yay! Finally another girl around here! Hermione doesn't arrive until later in the summer."
"Come on Emily follow me." Ron nods his head up the stairs and I follow him. Once we reach Ginny's room he drops the trunk and slumps over as if he's dying.
"Ronald you are so overdramatic." I laugh.
"Hey rule number 1. My mother is the only person
allowed to call me Ronald.""Oh there are rules?"
"There is a rule. And that is don't call me Ronald."
"Ok Ronald got it."
"I hate you."
"You love me and you can't even deny it!"
Ron has become like a brother to me. He's my best friend, my partner in crime. I don't know where I would be without him. I bring him in for a hug.
"What's this about?"
"Thank you for letting me stay with you this summer."
"Of course you're always welcome here."
I smile and follow him out of the room. I already love it here.
When we get down stairs we see everyone sat at the table except for Mr Weasley but from Mrs Weasleys clock he just arrive home.
"Hello everybody!"He greets all of them by name and stops at me.
"I'm afraid I don't know you."
"Emily, Mr Weasley, I'm a friend of Ron's." I stick out my hand for him to shake.
"Lovely, if you don't mind me asking are you a Bennington?"
"Yes actually why?"
"I knew your father! You have the same mischievous twinkle in your eyes. We were quite rambunctious back in the day!" He chuckles. "It's a shame what happened. I'm sorry."
"Thanks" I smile.
Everyone goes silent until George looks to me.
"Mischievous huh? I'm gonna like you." He winks at me."George stop hitting on her!" Ron yells in disgust.
I just laugh and my face goes red.
"Oh dear Ronald I'm simply making conversation!"
"Yeah Ronald!" I say playing along.
Ron's ears goes red in frustration and George and I look at each other and laugh.
We all sit and eat dinner laughing and discussing what the summer is going to hold. Once night falls I wash up and get my pajamas on. I walk into the room to see Ginny sitting on her bed. I plop down on the mattress I'll be sleeping on.
"George seems to have taken a liking to you."
"Oh please, he's only trying to upset Ron." I laugh.
"I don't know, he's usually able to do that without bringing pretty girls into it." She laughs as my face goes red. He wasn't flirting with me. Was he?
