After Zuko took Aang and Sokka on some excursions in the past couple of days. Katara starts to catch feelings. She buries them of course because she never wants to trust him again. Katara's scared. Scared of him hurting her again.
During the campfire Katara stormed off. Zuko followed her down to the docks.
"Everyone seems to trust me now. What's up with you?" Zuko says confused
"Ohhhh yea everyone seems to trust you now.. I was the first one to trust you! Remember! Back in Ba Sing Se" Katara says angrily
"What can I do to make it up to you?" Zuko says willingly.
"Oh I don't know. Take back the Ba Sing Se in the name of the earth king? Bring my mother back!" Katara says even more angrily
Zuko realized why she's staying angry. Katara is just projecting all her anger from her mother onto him. Zuko talked to Sokka and got all the details of who invaded their tribe.
He waited outside of Katara's tent all night. He ended up taking her to go and find the man who killed her mother. He knew this would bring her justice and peace. He hoped this would make her trust him
Hours after the journey...
Katara never killed him, but she did get some closure, and she could even bring herself to forgive Zuko. She was sitting on the docks at dusk. Just thinking back onto what happened, she had finally realized... she was in love with Zuko. Through thick and thin. Katara loved him with everything she had, and Zuko had finally proven himself.
Zuko was thinking back onto their journey also. He really respected Katara as a bender. She is so powerful. Zuko started to blush thinking about their journey alone. He really loved her.
As Katara's mind was flooded with Zuko. Her brain got interrupted by Aang. He obviously had a crush on her! They had kissed in the cave of two lovers and he kissed her at the invasion. Aang's little heart is gonna be shattered....
