Katara woke up the next morning with a sick feeling in her stomach. It was Aang. She still had felt terrible for what she did to him. Katara immediately left Zuko's tent and went straight to hers. She only thought there was one way to make Aang stop hurting.
"Zuko... I don't think we should be together." Katara said
"W-wait why? Is this about Aang?" Zuko said confused yet sadly
"No it's not about Aang. It's about me! I just don't think I can do this." Katara said as she stormed off crying.
Zuko grabbed her by the hand right before she was gone.
"Katara! I can't help but love you! I've always loved and thought about you since the day I gazed eyes on you." Zuko said with tears in his eyes.
"Listen Zuko. When we first met you had me at "I'll save you from the pirates" and I've been different ever since. Everyone's counting on me now!" -Katara
"Katara. I will love you indefinitely... even if you don't want me to." -Zuko
"I wanna love you so bad. I just can't let anyone down." -Katara
"You won't let anyone down by doing what the heart wants. You and I are an undeniable duo. We can do anything together. You will not disappoint anyone!" Zuko said willingly
"I will let down someone... Aang." Katara sighed as she ran into Zuko's arms.
"It's okay Katara. I got you." Zuko said as he kissed her forehead.
As the day went by, Katara felt somewhat better. She was even thinking on the past and what Aunt Wu predicted for her love line.
"Wow Zuko is a really powerful bender" Katara said to herself
Zuko was also thinking about how Mai could be feeling right now. Either understanding towards him and Katara or just wanting to throw knives at Katara...
They had both went up to each other. Realizing there were so many words they had never said. It was all just a war of hearts.
"I always loved you!" Zuko abs Katara both said as they ran up to each other
"Zuko. You've always been on my mind, even when I hated you. I always thought I was crazy and stupid thinking of you in a love way" - Katara
"I always laid in my bed thinking about you, wondering if you thought about me at night. I actually got even more excited when I found Aang's location. Haha" - Zuko
"There's just so much I never said when I should've." - Katara
"Me too Katara, me too" said Zuko as he embraced Katara in a big hug.
They were always in love. Even when they were sworn enemies....
Years later after the war....
Katara and Zuko had settled down with 2 kids. Kya and Iroh. One waterbender, and one firebender. Everyone had been finally happy.
