Sometimes
You never come to mind

When you do
You fill me up with memories
Memories I have come to cherish
You who make people smile
Even when you are sad
You who think nothing of gifts
Giving willing
Happy to oblige
Will gladly help out
If it means that person can smile
Sometimes
I start to wonder if you live off people's smiles
I remember you
More times than I care to admit
I mourn you
More times than I will ever admit
They say I am the harden
The one that show not emotions
They said I am the practical one
The one who doesn't give a heck
The one who understands me is gone
Why should I explain myself
Why should I peel back the layers
And layers of protection
That took sweat, tears and pain to create
I have missed your hugs
Your precious smiles
That dishes out hope even when all seems lost
I miss your laughter,
One of the most genuine ones I have ever come across.
I miss your zeal to learn
Infected me and here I am today,
Glad
It's hard to let go
It's hard to say no
I am blessed to have met you in this life
I am blessed to have been blessed by you
You who went extra miles for me
You who made sacrifices I never knew about
You who will remain a part of me
Till my last dying breath
I will cherish our moments together
The good ,the bad, the ugly
Because they all encompass the essence of who you were.
