Amanda got home very happy,she couldn't contain her joy.She met her husband sitting down in the living room,she ran to him and hugged him.
"Frederick! I'm so happy!"
Frederick wondered what could be making her so happy in this situation that they were in.
"Amy Wow!What happened?"He asked.
"I'm going to be a mother!"She announced.
Frederick gasped."Really? You're pregnant?"He beamed, looking at her tummy.
She grimaced."No"
He looked puzzled."What do you mean?"
"You know Anita"She began
"Yes, ofcourse, I know Anita"
"She has offered to be our surrogate mother!"
Frederick stared at her.He looked her over to make sure that all was well with her;that she hasn't lost her mind.
"And you accepted? Are you insane?"He queried.
Amanda was surprised at his speech."Why wouldn't I accept?You know I've always wanted to have my own child—"
"It won't be your child, Amanda.Only mine"
"What belongs to you, belongs to me,"she moved closer to him on the couch,"it doesn't matter, I don't care.All I want is to have a child in this home"
"Isn't it better then that we adopt?"
"Your family won't consent to it, you know that!"
Frederick placed a hand on his forehead as his head was banging with anger and so many troubling emotions.He sighed and looked up at her.
"I'll think it over,Amy. We'll discuss this some other time"
He said,then got up and left.
