Frederick got home as quickly as possible to know why Amanda sounded so excited,he wondered what must have happened.
As soon as he stepped into the compound, something;some invisible force, hit him and he staggered.Almost immediately, Amanda arrived home, she paid the bus driver and walked into her house, smiling.
She saw Frederick standing there in the compound and she ran forward."Frederick!,"she called and he turned,"Frederick, guess what?"
He stared at her."What are you doing in my house?"He queried.Amanda was bamboozled."This is house, Frederick"
"Get out of my house now, before I lose my temper!,"he said,he was behaving like someone intoxicated with wine.
Amanda couldn't understand his behaviour. She came closer to him."Frederick. Why are you saying that? What have I done?"
Just then, Anita came out the front door. She asked," What's going on?"
Frederick turned to her." Tell this woman to get out of my house now or I'll kill her!"
Amanda gasped in shock.
Turning to het, Anita said,"Please,go away. As you can see,he doesn't want you here""Yes,he does! What have you done to him, tell me!"Amanda charged towards Anita, but Frederick got in her way.
"I said get out,GET.OUT!,"he yelled. Taking hold of her,he pulled her towards the gate and pushed her out.
She tripped, almost falling face flat. She couldn't believe or understand what was happening.
She turned around to stare at him."Don't ever come back!"He warned.
"Frederick...,"she began, but he shut the gate in her face and bolted it.
She stood transfixed to the spot, for a moment,it seemed her breath had seized and she couldn't breathe.

Amuche lived alone. Her place was far from Amanda's,so she was quite surprised when she appeared at her doorstep, with tears in her eyes.
"Ah-ah, Amanda, what happened?" Amuche asked.
"She won,"Amanda sobbed,"she finally won"
"I don't understand, what do you mean?" Amuche queried. She shut the door and led Amanda in.
Amanda recounted to her how Frederick had thrown her out of the house.
"He didn't even let me take my things,he just threw me out" she cried.
"But,why? Did you have any sort of quarrel or misunderstanding—"
She cut in." Nothing like that, nothing at all!"
"This is not fair, why are men like this?," Amuche asked, looking up to the ceiling. She sighed, then turned to her sister,"don't cry,my dear. Wipe your tears, God has given you a reason to smile. He has given you all that you've been asking for;a child! Don't drown yourself in grief, you have to be strong for your child"
Amanda nodded." Yes" She wiped her face with the back of her hand and tried to smile.
