Amanda took her sister's advice and fought back. She didn't obey Anita's orders anymore, instead she made Anita obey hers.

*******************************

Anita was sitting in the living room as usual, she'd just finished eating lunch.
She saw Amanda coming and pretended to be in a lot of pains, wailing and clutching her waist.

Amanda, knowing that she was just pretending, ignored her cries and went her way.

Anita kept wailing and calling out to Amanda for help, but Amanda ignored her.

When it got too annoying, Amanda left what she was doing in the kitchen and came to her.

"What is it?,"she yelled,"why are you disturbing me with your fake cries? I have things to do,okay? I have no time for all this,so just stop it!"
She turned around abruptly and nearly bumped into a dazed Frederick at the front door.

"You're home by this time?"Amanda said, surprised

He didn't reply her but pulled her aside and out of his way and rushed to Anita, who was now lying on the floor, still wailing uncontrollably.

"Anita, what's wrong? Is the baby okay?" Frederick asked, trying to lift her off the ground.

From the way Anita cried, you would think she had a hot knife pierced into her heart and would die anytime soon;she held on tightly to her waist and stomach, and pretended to be trying to speak through the pain.

Frederick lifted her off the floor and rushed to the door, calling out to the maid to open it quickly.

Amanda watched him deposit Anita in the backseat, before running to the front to get the car started.
He sped off even before he'd gotten his door closed.

Amanda stood transfixed to the spot, she watched the car drive out of the compound and suddenly guilt swept through her.

"Oh my God. I thought she was pretending!"
