Amanda took Mama Ejima's advice and began to pray like never before.
She had some inner peace and hope each time she prayed and gradually she forgot about the Anita problem and focused on her relationship with God.Anita was frustrated, she was disturbed by Amanda's loud singing and clapping and prayers.
One afternoon, she wanted to take a nap, Amanda was singing loudly upstairs in her room.
She tried to ignore the noise but couldn't, finally she stormed upstairs and barged into the room."Enough!,"she screamed,"Stop it,stop all this singing, you're not in a church! I'm trying to take a nap, I need to rest, carrying this child in my belly is not easy! You wouldn't even know, since you've never carried one there,so, please, just shut up!"
Amanda only only managed to glance at her before she continued her singing and clapping.
Anita's nerves were strained to the breaking point. This type of anger always left her speechless and unable to react. She turned and left the room, the way she walked out,you would think she'd just escaped from a mental asylum.******************************
FIVE MONTHS LATER.....
Amanda began to see signs of pregnancy in herself she and got excited.
She decided to go to the hospital to confirm. At this point Anita's pregnancy was at it's eight month, she too saw the changes in Amanda.
She became scared that Frederick would ignore her and turn back his attention to Amanda. So,it happened that while Amanda went to the hospital for her pregnancy test, Anita set forth to visit a native doctor.
She got home before Amanda and quickly went into the compound, she sprinkled the charm on the floor, followed by incantations.Halfway home, Amanda's car developed faults and came to an abrupt stop. Meanwhile, she had already placed a call through to her husband, excitedly asking him to come home because she has an important news to tell him.
She wondered why the car would choose this time to disappoint her. She pondered on whether to call a mechanic or just board a bus home.
After some thought, she decided to board a bus and get home first.
