When I got back to my room, I sat down on my bed to think. But my thoughts were interrupted when someone knocked on my door. "Delivery from Ferndell Hall." The delivery man knocked on my door.
I walked up to the door and allowed him to bring it in. He told me it was from my brother Mycroft. I didn't want to hear it anymore. "Whatever it is, it's heavy." The delivery man said before he walked away.
After the man left, I just closed the door and didn't bother to open the box because I didn't want to be associated with my brother anymore. I sat down on my bed and sighed. I was about to start thinking again before she heard a sneeze coming from the basket.
What the.
The basket began to start fidgeting around making me very confused. I started scooting back farther away from the box until the wall stopped me. I looked around for anything I could use to protect myself but there wasn't anything. Damn.
As the basket started to move around more, the top of it opened, revealing Tewksbury. He stood up and looked at me. Instead of running up to him, I just froze up and stared at him for a moment.
"Well? No welcome--" Tewksbury tried to ask me something but before he could, I ran up to him and kissed him. I wrapped my arms around the back of his neck as he tugged me in, placing his hands on my back.
After we stopped, needing to catch our breaths, I looked at him. "I guess I missed you. Very little." She whispered playfully, referring to the last time we reunited. "I was wondering. You don't need to but, I was just thinking." Tewksbury slowly talked to me.
"Yes love, spit it out." I looked up at him. He really is beautiful.
"If you wanted to be my lover?" He nervously asked me. It was kind of cute the way he asked me.
"No." I told him without missing a beat. He immediately frowned.
I smiled.
"I'm kidding! Yes!" I laughed a bit before hugging him. He sighed in relief as he hugged me back.
"We need to get Enola. I have an idea. You bring the basket to Enola, and she gets into it. You drag the basket to the headmistress and tell her it can only be opened in her office privately. Miss Harrison will have someone put it in her office while you meet me outside. Enola will quickly get out of the basket before Miss Harrison opens it. Got it?" I told Tewksbury the plan.
"I got half of it." He said in a questionable way.
"Go while I get dressed out of this horrid outfit." I kicked him out of my room to change. Once I was done changing, I walked out into the hallway slowly after hearing voices. "Well what are you waiting for? A tip?" I heard Miss Harrison tell Tewksbury.
He shook his head and started walking down the stairs as Miss Harrison walked to her office. I quickly ran down the stairs to catch up with him. "Did it go well?" I asked him as we go down the stairs together.
"Sort of." He whispered.
We waited outside for her. It wasn't long until we saw Enola running out of the doors. She yelled out at us, "Get in the vehicle!" We all started to run onto Miss Harrison's car. "Wait, there is only two seats and three of us." I pointed out.
Enola looked at me dead in the eyes and said, "Sit on Tewksbury's lap."
"Enola... you must be joking... right?" I nervously chuckled, thinking Enola was joking. Obviously, she wasn't.
Before Enola could say anything else, Miss Harrison comes running out. "Bloody hell." I said before getting on and sitting on Tewksbury's lap. "If I so much as feel anything I swear--" I looked at Tewksbury seriously as I wrapped my arms around his neck so I doesn't fall off.
I cannot believe this.
But he just started laughing as Enola is 'driving' frantically. "Left, right, watch out, Enola!" Tewksbury yelled at Enola for her skills. "The bush! Enola!" He screamed as we head for a bush. "If would stop screaming in my ear maybe she could focus." I laughed at him.
As we head down a road, Enola and I thank him for saving us. "Let's get back to London and find a proper finding place." Tewksbury told us. I nodded but Enola stopped the automobile as the brakes screech.
"Why have we stopped?" Tewksbury looked at Enola. "Enola whatever you're planning let's do it." I encouraged my sister. "Enola..." Tewksbury said, not knowing what she was doing. "We need to go to Basilwether." Enola suddenly said before taking a left into Basilwether.
"What?" Tewksbury looked at Enola like she's gone mad. "An injustice has occurred. It's time to right some wrongs. You want a culprit, find the motive." She explained as she gave Tewksbury a newspaper she had.
"I don't understand." He said while looking at the newspaper.
"When were you due to be inducted into the Lords?"
"Imminently."
"How would you have voted on the bill?"
"The same as my father. I'd be for it."
"Who knew that? And who stands to gain the estate with your father dead and if you die?"
"My uncle. You think this is my uncle's doing?"
"Doesn't it make sense?"
"But he's a powerful man. What on earth could we do?"
"Solve the crime of course."
"Enola we are all extremely lucky to have lived this long, and you want to drive us into a place where there is the most certain danger?"
"Sometimes, Lord Tewksbury, you have to dangle your legs in the water to attract the bloody sharks!" Enola yelled at him.
"Why would we want to attract the bloody sharks?!" Tewksbury yelled back.
Enola sighed. "Good point." She said as we arrive at the manor.
