Take what once was lost,
                   And make it found

" YOU ARE NOTHING FLASH AND YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT ME! GIVE UP NOW WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!"

"NEVER! I HAVE TO PROTECT THIS CITY, MY HOME AND FAMILY ARE HERE! I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!"

" Then I guess you deserve what I'm about to do."

The Flash opened his eyes, and the only thing he saw was darkness, a moistness to the dark. He could tell easily enough that his powers where still muffled because his wounds weren't being healed.

But he knew that he was on an alleyway floor.

To his left, a ruffle sounded and an odd looking creature scampered across the alley way floor, the thing took a glimpse at Barry and jumped upon his form.

Barry tried to shoo the little thing off and yet it still began to sniff at his limp and intestine decay. The thing had almost bitten down on him when it stopped.

It was as if an invisible hand had grasped him and swiftly tugged Barry back, yanking him down the alleyway and into the street.

He had already been near unconsciousness, blood coming from his lips with every hacking breath, and yet the same invisible force compelled him to stay awake, if only for a few moments more.

Barry's head lolled to the side, his body beginning to numb, and he saw two people from the distance, one riding a motorcycle and the other jogging at a conveniently quick pace. The one on the bike was a tall woman clad in blue and the other was a shorter man wearing what looked to be orange? Or were the colors just his eyes giving up?

The woman saw him and began to speed up in order to reach him and the invisible hand began to lose it's grip as an icy chill seeped through his body. It wasn't a bad feeling though, he supposed, death looming overhead and a welcoming cold keeping him roo—wait! The cold was keeping him alive?!

Either way it didn't matter, he'd be dead within a matter of moments anyway. But, something about the woman as she neared made him want to start fighting back, something he hadn't felt in a long time, he couldn't put his finger to the feelings name though...

All Barry knew was that the woman seemed to be his only source of help and that she was radiating with that cold, yet warm frost.

She knelt next to him and quickly slipped off his mask, cupping his face and gently turning it side-to-side as if checking he was vital, Barry found comfort in her doing so, it made him feel grounded to the earth. The woman's brows creased and she began to undo his suit, pressing firmly against his chest to stop the blood from flowing.

And then the cold came again and seemed to shield him from the outside world, Barry looked back into the woman's eyes and felt the same coldness in them. The cold, warm place surrounding him, and yet it was in her eyes. Her blue eyes, pulsing with storms and ruin while at the same time seemingly seeping with joy and happiness and welcome.

Barry's head lolled one last time and he saw a white van heading for them, the last thing he saw before darkness enveloped, was that woman's eyes as she pulled his body up and into his arms, whispering the words 'it's gonna be okay.'
