Chapter 15

Walking through the gates we got a round of applause. Tom came running from the crowd and pulled Ben into a hug.
'Dad,' Ben whined.
Tom smiled at him and kissed my forehead, 'Thank you Emma, you brought my boy back home safely'.
'No problem. By the way no Skitters were there so we managed to get heaps of food,' I said.
Tom frowned, his eyebrows creased, 'That is weird, good though. Or maybe not, they must be planning something'.
Lourdes walked over to me and hugged me, 'You rock hon. Are they full of food' she said pointing to the saddlebags and backpacks.
'Yeah, and some clothes'.
'Awesome,' Lourdes said giving Ben a hug, 'Come on Anne is in the Infirmary, she couldn't come out because we found another harnessed kid and taking it off'.
I shrugged at Ben as she lead us through the corridors to the Infirmary. Anne was standing above a boy and Mike, a solider, was sitting in the corner.
Anne waved me over, 'Hi Emma good job with the food,'.
'Uh thanks. How exactly do you know? And do You need help there?' I asked.
'Gossip spreads like a wildfire in the Second Mass. Yeah Lourdes and you can come over and give me a hand,' Anne said.
Lourdes and I walked over to Anne who was standing besides the harnessed kid. He had a halo of brown hair and dark, tanned skin, his eyes though that's what struck me. They looked familiar. I couldn't put a finger on it though.
A figure stepped out of the darkness. His hair was sweaty and stuck to one side of his tanned forehead. It was Mike.
'That's my son, Rick' he explained.

I smiled at Rick as I finished wrapping a bandage around his foot. Tom walked in and gestured for me to come outside. I followed him and we walked to the top of the building where Weaver had set up a lookout. Weaver and Ben where there and Tom walked up to them with me. 

'Emma, Tom and I decided that you and Ben will be junior leaders of the Second Mass. You'll be involved in every decision and know things first when they change. Its a big responsibility, you will need to help save the earth,' Weaver said.

Tom and Weaver talked to me about what we'll have to do. I don't know when and how we'll save the earth but all i know is that we will. No matter if i had to sacrifice my life for it I will be the one to save the Earth. The wind blew through my dark locks of hair as I contemplated ways to beat the aliens. Those motherfuckers won't know what hit them.

I'm going to be honest with you I don't watch Falling Skies anymore so I kind of lost my inspiration. I wanted to finish this book and if i get into FS again then I will probably write a second part. This is my first finished book on wattpad which seems crazy because I've never finished a book. If you enjoy my writing then check out some of my other books. At the moment I'm working on a Harry Potter fanfic but I won't publish that until its all finished probably because I hate leaving you guys waiting. So The Amazing Gwen Stacey is the book I will be working on/publishing. Thank you for reading my story even though Falling Skies isn't my thing anymore I know some of you guys are diehard fans and I wanted to finish this for them.
