Not Quite Famous

Jesse was blasted awake by Chris's loudspeaker.

"Alright, campers, enough beauty sleep! Time to show us what you're made of!"

Jesse gripped his head.

"Urgh, will he ever let us sleep normally?!" he yelled.

"I don't think so, Jesse." said Justin as he pushed his covers off.

"Argh! Teenagers aren't morning people." said Jesse as he got up. He then saw Cody gelling and combing his hair.

"What are you doing?" Jesse asked.

"Getting ready to woo Gwen." he said.

"Seriously?" said Trent.

"Uh huh. She's murderous for me. I mean, who else can you think of that couldn't resist these guns?" Cody said as he tried to pump up a muscle in his right arm. There wasn't much difference.

"Uh... I don't think you're her type, Cody." said Jesse.

"Why not? He's so her type." said Owen giving Cody a high five.

"Cuz most people are more attracted to people who know their limits. And you're full and ignorant of them." said Jesse.

"Nah, a model like me's got this." and Cody ran outside.

"(Sigh) I've got five bucks he does something creepy today." said Jesse as he got out of bed.

"I'll take that action." said Justin.

Jesse arrived with Gwen to a rather poor outdoor amphitheatre

"Fair warning Gwen, I think Cody's up to something involving you." he said.

"Thanks for the heads up." she responded.

Trent waved them over.

"Hey guys. Saved you a seat." he called over.

"Thanks." said Gwen who sat beside him and Jesse sat beside her.

Trent then did a relaxed position and Cody tried to copy it but failed miserably.

"Jeez dude, really?" Jesse mumbled.

"Welcome to our brand new deluxe state of the art outdoor amphitheatre!" announced Chris.

/"Deluxe huh?"/ (Jesse)

"Okay. This week's challenge is a summer camp favorite. A talent contest!" Chris announced.

"Yes! Awesome!" yelled Owen.

"Each team has eight hours to pick up the three most talented campers. These three will represent them in the show tonight! Sing, dance, juggle! Anything goes... as long as it's legal!" announced Chris, eyeing Duncan.

"You'll be judged by our resident talent scout, former DJ, VJ and rap legend... Grand Master Chef! Who will show his approval via... the Chef-O-Meter!"

Well this seemed odd.

"The team that loses will send one camper home tonight! Good luck." Chris announced.

Heather blew a whistle to call everyone's attention as the team sat on the porch.

"Okay! I'm the team captain, so here's how it's going to work." she announced.

"Wait, who said you were team captain?" questioned Gwen, who was holding a book for some reason.

"She did, just now!" said Lindsay.
