Who Can You Trust?

Jesse and Gwen sat down after getting what was probably another very disgusting course from Chef.

"Jeez. If I knew the last challenge would be tomorrow's breakfast, I would've added more ketchup to the ribs." Jesse joked.

Heather was wrapped up in a blanket sneezing.

"Need a little echinacea?" Gwen asked, smirking.

"Oh, you're so funny. You think that you can just lock me up in a freezer and get away with it? I am gonna make you sorry that you ever met me!" Heather retorted.

"Too late." Jesse said, which Gwen and Leshawna nodded to.

"You are such a... a... a... a... achoo! Urgh! I hate this place." Heather sneezed.

"I agree. Your presence makes it awful." Jesse teased.

"ARGH!" Heather yelled, before losing her balance and falling off her seat.

"HAHAHAHA!" Gwen, Leshawna and Jesse laughed at Heather's suffering. Trent then sat next to them.

"Hey guys. You're sounding a lot better, Jesse." Trent said.

"Yeah. Pranking Harold did wonders for me. Thanks Duncan!" Jesse called back to the other table. Duncan's eyes rolled and he gave Jesse a thumbs up and a grin.

Jesse then turned back to the others.

"By the way, guys. I was able to call that old sensei again. Told 'em to send me that hawk again with some films I asked for. Maybe we can watch one in the cabin when they arrive." Jesse offered.

"Sure. Any horror films?" Gwen asked.

"Horror, action, comedy, all the good film genres at Hollywood. I'll show you guys one when the hawk gets here."

"Cool." Leshawna commented.

Then Chris called them to the docks.

"So... last week's challenge exposed a few Gopher issues and... I'm sensing something a little funky floating in the Bass pond too. So... this week's challenge is gonna be centred around building trust. Because... all good things begin with a little trust!" Chris announced.

/"I trusted Trent once. He left me buried alive on the beach for more than twenty minutes. Who knows how long I would've been under there unless Jesse showed up and got me out."/ (Gwen)

"There will be three major challenges that will have to be completed by two or more members of your team. Normally, we like to have the campers choose their partners. But not this time! More fun for meee!" Chris announced.

/"Oh this is gonna end well."/ (Jesse)

The teams were now at the bottom of a cliff.

"Okay. So for the first challenge, you'll be doing an extreme, free-hand, rock climbing adventure. DJ and Duncan will play for the Bass. Heather and Gwen for the Gophers." Chris announced.

Gwen voiced her disgust in a groan.

"Here's your belay and harness." Chris then tossed them to Gwen, only for Heather to snatch them from her hands.

"Hey! What's your damage!?" Gwen exclaimed.

"If you think I'm letting you hold me up, you're nuts!" Heather responded.

"You won't be holding her up exactly. One camper pulls the slack through the belay as their partner climbs. If the climber falls, the belay will stop them from crashing. The catch? Both the side and the base of the mountain are rigged with a few minor distractions like... rusty nails, slippery oil slicks, mild explosives and a few other surprises." Chris announced.
