Hide and Be Sneaky

The next day was terrible. Jesse had been listening to a lot of music, wearing up his punching bag and had eaten around a quarter his remaining sweets. And Gwen? She was taking the worst of it. She was currently on her bed with her knees on her chest. Leshawna was sitting next to her and had a hand on her close friend's shoulder and Jesse was sitting on the bunk above her. The three of them felt horrible. Gwen's boyfriend had been stolen by Heather, Leshawna had removed him, Jesse almost killed him and all of it was a lie spun by Heather.

"Girl, you've got to put Trent out of your head." Leshawna said to Gwen.

"I know. I just miss him so much already." Gwen responded.

"Trent would want you to go on. That helping?" Jesse asked.

"I guess." Gwen said.

"Well, baby girl. Nothing heals a broken heart like revenge." Leshawna remarked.

The three of them then looked at each other slyly with evil intent.

Chris called the campers over to the docks for their next challenge.

"Today's challenge is a good old fashioned game of hide and seek. You all get ten minutes to hide before Chef Hatchet comes looking for you. With his military background and advanced degree in manhunting, he's uniquely qualified to make this game... excruciatingly hard." Chris said as Chef pulled out a water rifle.

"What's with the water gun?" Duncan questioned until he saw a laser dot on his forehead like a sniper rifle.

"The lifeguard chair is home base. When he finds you, Chef will try to spray you. If you escape his blast, you can try to run to home base. But if he catches you on your way... he'll douse you." Chris announced.

"Oooh, so we're gonna get splashed by a bit of water. Now I'm terrified." Duncan sarcastically remarked.

"Why don't you demonstrate Chef?" Chris recommended.

Chef then loaded up the water rifle and then fired... a massive stream of water right at Chris, sending him multiple yards away.

"NOT ON ME, DUDE!!!" He yelled back.

/"(Sigh) Karma is so sweet."/ (Jesse)

"So how do we win this game?" Heather questioned.

Chris returned soaking wet with his hair messed up.

"You've got three options.1: Don't get discovered in your hiding place. 2: Run to home base before Chef blasts you. 3: Once you've been caught, help Chef find other campers. Do any of those and you win invincibility. All clear? You get 10 minutes to hide. GO!" Chris announced.

Everyone then made a run for it.

Jesse had an idea. But it was gonna take time. First he had to run around the island, but out of nowhere he was pulled into a cave by two hands.

"What the fu-?!"

"Shush!" Demanded Duncan, placing a hand on Jesse's face. Too bad Duncan didn't know that if you learn how to fight, your instincts kick in and Jesse bit into Duncan's hand.

"OW!" Duncan complained and Jesse got loose. He was in a cave and DJ and Geoff were already here.

"What's going on?" Jesse asked.

"We're having a guy's alliance dude. Wanna join?" Geoff explained.

"Yeah. Sorry, not interested." Jesse said and began leaving.
