The clashing of steel rang out, noise at every turn. I couldn't help but smile, the training room a flurry of motion.

"You didn't like your job and yet you like training?" Askari said.

"I learnt to like my job when I stopped losing." I returned, not taking my gaze of anything.

"I'm not trying to keep you from your world," he said quietly, and the apologetic tone was enough for me to look at him.

"I am doing everything in my power to get the right materials to go back to your realm. I'm sorry, for what it's worth, if we'd known it was important to you to stay in the mortal realm, we never would've taken you here."

I was shocked that he said that, but I shook it off saying, "why did you bring me here?"

"You were injured, none of us knew what to do. Kai said that we should take you here because you were able to fight me."

"Why is that such a surprise?" I wasn't gloating, I was just generally curious.

"Not to brag," he said with no small amount of amusement, "but I'm a legend."

I snorted. "If you're such a legend, then why was I able to hold my own against you?"

"I don't know," his brows creased.

"Are you two joining or are you going to continue your tea party?"

I shot Charlie a grin before joining him.

Duck.

Block.

Lung.

Jump.

Lung.

I fought against Kai, our movements faster then the mortal eye could track.

"Go M.J.!" I heard Page scream.

Wait-

"Page? What the f- flip are you doing here?" The look at Page cost me, Kai nicking my collar, red blood blooming.

I leaped back,  narrowly avoiding my head being chopped off.

"You could have taken my head off!" I exclaimed.

He raised an eyebrow, seeming to say, and?

Scoffing, I attacked him again, this time my predictable movements becoming different, impossibly faster. Smoother.

Our swords rang out as they clashed against each other, he seemed surprised at the strength in my blow.

"Your using your... abilities." He said lowly, too quiet for anyone else to hear, even with the magnified hearing angels have, they wouldn't have heard. By that he meant I was using my demon strength, speed and senses.

I instantly let his strength overpower me, disarming me in less then a heartbeat.

"Aww, c'mon!" Charlie cried, "that was hardly a fight! M.J. did better then that against Askari!"

"Me next!" Page howled.

"What?!" I yelled. "No way."

"She could learn some self defence," Charlie said.

"She knows self defence."

"M.J. perhaps if we -" Lahni tried.

"She will not be hurt."

"Please, M.J.?" Page begged. Her wide eyes made my heart melt.

"One round. Just one." I caved in.
