After hearing what Rianne had to say about that night, she had more questions now than she thought she would. And most of the answers to those questions were with Aaron, so she picked up her phone from where it was charging and decided to call him and take a chance at getting some answers.
When she checked her phone, her notification bar was filled with Aaron's missed calls and text messages. She didn't realise that Aaron had been calling her when she was busy talking with Ri. She hurriedly checked all the messages that he sent. According to Ri, he hurt her and now even he is saying the same. Ri didn't know what happened that night and maybe it is good idea not to meddle into it if fate has already decided to wipe him out of her mind. But something deep inside her intrigued her to know more as if she was exploring an unsolved mystery in a clue house, only this time it was her past that she was going to explore.
She texted him back saying, Hi sorry. I didn't have my phone with me when you called. Can I call you tomorrow at 11?
A reply came back as soon as the message was sent. Sure. Please.
She tried to finish her assignment despite random thoughts attacking her mind. She tried hard to concentrate and finished half of the work and went to sleep to lessen her splitting headache.
Next day she called him right after her online workshop.
"Hello," he said with eagerness in his tone.
"Hello", she replied.
Every time he heard her voice, he felt warmth in his soul even though that voice claims not to recognize him.
"T? Are you okay?", he asked.
"I am good. If you don't mind me asking.."
"I won't mind at all," he interrupted her.
"Most of my friends call me Ray but why do you call me T?", she finished her question.
He was expecting that she would ask what he has been up to or something but was not expecting this question. She had never asked that question, he had always been calling her T without realizing since the second or third time he met her at Uni but he decided to answer.
"No reason at all. You started calling me B so I just went along with the sound of letter with which your name ended."
"Oh," she smiled and asked, "And why do I call you B?"
"Really? Are you testing me or something?", he didn't know what was happening and really needed to know what was it that she trying to do.
"Oh umm no, not at all." She apologized.
"umm T? Can I ask you something?" He said before she could say anything.
She felt like if she needed her answers, she must be prepared to answer few of his questions as well, so she said, "Sure."
He remained silent for a moment and took deep breath before saying, "Have you forgotten me? Did you go to hospital to remove me from your head?"
She was surprised by his question and stifled a laughter before saying, "What? How do you come up with that?"
"Well, I know it's stupid, but we used to joke around remember. We were reading this article online about erasing certain memories from life. One can opt to go through surgery and erase all the memories of particular incident or even a person, so..." He answered innocently but laughing a bit at himself.
"Did you hurt me so bad that you think I will go ahead and do that surgery to forget you?" Her tone was serious now.
"I don't think so," he confessed, "when we were talking about it you said that you would never do such thing because these memories whether good or bad makes us who we are, and you would never let go of anything that made you who you are. Mistakes, lessons, happiness are part of those memories so you would not let it go because they made you, YOU." He paused and said, "but you are acting like you have forgotten me and everything about me. You don't even remember that I call you T which I have been calling you since the time we started talking with each other. I know you didn't go through that ridiculous surgery and I don't think that works but T, please tell me what happened. I am so confused right now."
