Rianne was worried when Lumanti just left hospital but Aaron and Lumanti were about to sort things out finally, so she didn't disturb them that night. She texted them once in a while and they both lied to her saying everything is fine and they are just talking things out. Rianne called her later when she reached home. She didn't pick up the call and just texted her Hey babe, sorry, I am sleeping now. Can I call you tomorrow. Don't worry, I am fine.
She was not fine. She was crying her eyes out but she wanted to be by herself and she has given her bestie enough trouble in past one year to trouble her more with this old new erupted drama in her life. Lumanti thought that she will tell all about it some other time because she didn't have enough energy to tell her the same day. Rianne was happy to know that her memory was back and assumed things were now fine between her and Aaron as both of them were behaving normal and responding properly. However, sometimes this disguised 'I am fine' are more troublesome than the actual troubles.
Rianne came early in the morning to her place to give her special news.
"Ray? Are you still sleeping? What did you guys do last night, huh, that you are so tired?"
Lumanti hid her face under the pillow trying not to show her swollen eyes from crying so much.
"Argh Ri, we did nothing. I am coming outside," Lumanti replied in her muffled voice under the pillow.
"I am coming in. Are you decent though?" Rianne chuckled.
Lumanti quickly got herself into the bathroom and to the shower before Rianne came in her room.
"Is Aaron still here?", Rianne asked entering her room and was surprised to see no one.
"No, he left last night." She responded from inside.
"Oh, I thought, he would stay the night. Ok come out quickly. I have something very important to say and I want to hear all about yesterday."
"Oohh, ok I will be out soon."
She quickly took shower and washed her face several times to lessen the puffiness of her eye but didn't help. Rianne would see right through it and she would start asking questions about it instead of sharing her news. She dabbed some powder below her eyes to make it look normal. It was not completely fine but looked ok enough.
She tried to act natural and excited for her friend, "So, what is it that you want to tell me? She sat on the couch while saying it.
Rianne hastily took out a small box from her bag and showed it to her.
"Oh my god! Are you finally proposing me Ri? You know my answer would be yes but is Sara ok with it?" Lumanti said jokingly.
"Haha, right. Its too late for you my dear", said Rianne acting like a drama queen, stretching her hands away from Lumanti and said, "I waited for you for a long time but not anymore. You are just too... straight for me."
Exaggerating the act, Lumanti added, "Oh don't say that. Only if I could change myself. I am willing to turn into gay, just for you."
"But it's just," and Ri started singing the song, "its just a little too late, A little too long, And I can't wait."
And both of them burst out laughing, falling back on the couch.
"Ok ok on serious note. Are you seriously going to propose Sara?", Lumanti asked turning toward her best friend.
"Yep" Rianne now blushing and all serious.
"Wow, that's fast. I have never seen you like this. You have known her for a what only a year now and you are seriously thinking about it?"
