Family Drama

Rianne and Lumanti were planning for the proposal at Lumanti's place when her parents arrived.

"Mom, dad, I thought you guys were going to stay at France for a while." She chimed seeing her parents after so long and hugged them.

Lumanti's mom said, "well, I needed to see how you are doing."

"I told you I am fine. I am doing great actually." Lumanti gave a convincing smile to her mom.

"I just needed to confirm it with my eyes." Her mom added.

"So, how was your trip? Where did you guys go?"

"Oh the trip was fantastic. Ah! The city is gorgeous like always. We had good time. I was shocked to see Aaron calling me after such a long time and saw Rianne calling as well.."

"so you got really worried and called Ri."

"Yes I did then she told me what happened."

"So, why do you have to come so early? You guys had whole Europe tour planned out."

"There is always a next year. Nothing more important than our daughter."

"But mom, I am fine. Actually, even better."

"So you remember everything now? Even the part when you fell from bicycle." Her mother asked with a smile on her face.

"Yes mom, I do and I promise you  that there is nothing to worry about."

"What about Aaron?"

"What about him?" she said looking away from her parents and walking towards couch.

"Should I be worried about him hurting you again?" her mother moved towards her. Both of them sat on the couch.

"He was there with me, mom. I already  told you everything and what happened?"

"About this time, yes, yes he was there but what about last time, What he had to tell for himself for that night?"

"He didn't know mom. He knew nothing about what went down. He thought I was angry and needed to cool off. He tried looking for me but he couldn't get to me. He tried looking for me but assumed that I was angry with him but things are getting better now. He is going to talk with his family and we will see what happens next. If it works then I want to give it a try."

"Well, I think, he didn't try enough in the first place." Her mom expressed.

"Mom, my phone broke, nobody knew about it. Rianne was angry with him. He thought I was angry with him and must have thought I left for Nepal. He might have thought that I left him without any explanation."

"That's not an excuse. He should have tried to contact us."

"And ask you about our petty fight? He didn't even know that I was in hospital."

"Why didn't he know? Why was he not there with you?"

Lumanti explained everything about that night, what went wrong, what she remembered and how they started coming back together again. When she was about to tell them about their recent conversation, her dad interrupted, "But I don't think you should be with him."

"Dad, please. We are really trying to sort things out."

"What do you mean by that?"

"His parents are not agreeing to..."

"Even now you are sorting things out."

"No dad, let me explain first."
