2 days

"So our 2 year anniversary is coming up..." Harry broke the silence as him and Louis were sitting on the bed, reminiscing about their last 2 years together. Ever since the band went on Hiatus, they both found love for each other and began dating. "Last year was awesome, but I think this year we should keep it to a minimum."

Louis sighed and trailed his thoughts. "I don't know. Maybe just a nice dinner and then come home and watch a long movie while we cuddle on the couch?" Louis always enjoyed movies and cuddles on the couch. That was one of his favorite things to do with Harry.

"Yea sure that's fine with me. It sounds nice." Harry pulled Louis closer to them as Louis drifted off to sleep, but honestly Harry wasn't very tired. As Louis rolled off of him, Harry got up and went to the bathroom to wash up for the night. He opened the cabinet and saw the small black box. What Louis didn't know was that Harry was planning on proposing to Louis on their anniversary. He grabbed his phone and texted Niall, who was in on their proposal.

Hey Niall! Probably doing a dinner for our anniversary. Can you set up reservations at that nice place near you? Can't wait!

Harry put his phone down for the night, awaiting Niall's text in the morning. He washed his face and rehid the small black box with the precious ring inside. He had kept it hidden from Louis for a few weeks now. Louis never went in that cabinet, so he knew it was a safe place.

"Harry!"

Harry went walking into the bedroom, at a quick pace, to make sure nothing was wrong. "What's wrong darling?"

"I- I-" Louis hesitated, looking as if he were about to cry. He pulled his knees to his chest and put his head down.

Harry walked over and pulled him into a hug. "You can talk to me. What's up?"

"I had another nightmare"

"It's okay hun. Let's just go to sleep" Harry took his shirt off and got under the covers with Louis. Ever since Louis' mom died a few months ago, he kept getting nightmares. Waking up in the middle of the night restless and screaming. Harry was the only one to comfort him. His nightmares consisted of watching his mom die to the smallest things, but they were awful. Some nights Louis just needed a cuddle, but other nights, Harry would have to sit with Louis, applying pressure his shoulders to make him realize that it's just a dream. It was tiring for Harry, but he didn't mind. They tried everything to help it, but nothing seemed to be working. Therapy, medication, nothing. Everything just seemed to make it worse. So they kind of just dealt with it. Supposedly it was from grief, but Louis didn't think so. Harry told him that it would hopefully go away in a few months, but it hadn't. This was just something they had to deal with.

They both drifted off to sleep, peacefully as they weren't woken up that night from Louis' nightmares, which was a relief.
