3 weeks later

Saturday 10:15am

For the past few weeks it was basically the same routine over and over again. Harry drove Louis to his physical therapy appointment a couple times a week and then returned straight home. Louis hadn't really gone out besides for the few appointments during the week. He didn't want to be seen by anyone, even though Harry pushed repeatedly for him to go out

By the end of the few weeks Louis was walking really well, eventually ditching the crutches by the time he reached his final physical therapy appointment at the hospital.

Mitch was referring him to a different physical therapist that had appointments once a week instead of twice. These appointments would start to help him improve his walking, and then start to help him run again, eventually getting to the point where he could play futbol again.

That morning, Louis came down the stairs, still careful with every step, as he made his way into the kitchen. Louis had his last physical therapy appointment with Mitch at noon. Harry was making breakfast like always, as he noticed Louis enter.

"Good morning Lou!" Harry pushed his tea closer to him, as he continued what he was doing on the stove.

Louis stayed silent as he sipped at his tea, waiting for Harry to finish making his breakfast.

Harry prepared the meal on two plates, handing Louis' his, trying to get him to speak, but yet he still refused. Just sitting in silence as he finished his breakfast. He went to get up, but Harry grabbed his wrist.

"Lou? What the hell? Why aren't you talking? Something wrong?" Harry tried to make eye contact, but Louis refused trying to remove his wrist from Harry's grasp, but Harry just held on tighter. "You haven't really spoken to me besides the occasional conversations at the dinner table. Please, just talk to me."

"I just want to be alone" Louis got free and made his way back to his and Harry's room.

He stayed there for about an hour and a half, until they had to leave. Harry went up to get him. He knocked on the door, but Louis didn't answer, so Harry slowly opened the door to find that Louis wasn't in the bed. He opened the door and looked around the room. Then he saw the balcony door open.

"Louis?" He walked out onto the balcony to find Louis sitting on the bench, just staring, a cigarette in his left hand.

"I told you to leave me alone Harry." He put out the cigarette and stood up, brushing past Harry and onto the bed.

"We have to leave. You know, for your last physical therapy appointment?" He questioned, sitting down beside him. "Are you okay?"

Louis sighed before he answered.

"It's just, I don't know. I want to do something, since we never got to go to dinner on our anniversary. And now that I can walk without the crutches, I can go places without feeling weak. I'll go to physical therapy of course, but I want to do something besides that. I just want to go somewhere without embarrassing myself. I know I have been quiet, not wanting to do anything, but now that I can. Can we go somewhere?" He asked, finally making eye contact with Harry, which made him smile.

"Glad you asked." He smiled, taking Louis' hand. "I'm making plans for Monday afternoon and evening. Don't plan anything. Fizzy is coming tomorrow, so you can hang out with her, while I go out with Liam and Niall. And don't ask to come because you can't. And don't ask why because I won't tell you. But promise me that you'll wait till Monday?" Harry began to get up, Louis following.

"Promise." He gave Harry a kiss and they made their way down the hallway and out the door.

They went to the hospital. Harry waited, like he always did, in the waiting room for Louis to finish. The appointment was a little longer today, as he was making sure Louis is prepared for the other physical therapist.

"Harry?" It was Mitch, calling from the doorway. Harry got up, making his way to the room where Louis sat on the table. "So Louis is all set for the new physical therapist. His first appointment is Wednesday at 1:00pm. He is doing an amazing job at walking, so the crutches are no longer needed. It was nice to meet you both and good luck on the rest of your journey."

"Thank you very much Mitch for your help." Louis gave Mitch a hug and turned to Harry as they walked out the door. As they went to get in the car, Louis noticed someone familiar walking into the hospital. "Sarah?"

Sarah turned to see who called as she made her way to Harry's car.

"What are you doing at the physical therapy office? Don't you work in the main hospital? I mean it's nice to see you, but you know?" Louis was interested as the main hospital entrance was on the other side of the building, but Sarah seemed determined to go into this side.

"Oh just picking up papers. Nothing to worry about. Nice to see you Louis." She picked at her fingers, looking at the ground as she hurried back to the building entrance and making her way inside. Louis got in the car, as Harry went to put the key in.

"Wait, I want to see her when she comes out." Louis took the keys from Harry's hand and waited for Sarah.

"Louis! Can't we just go home?" But as Harry spoke, Louis noticed Sarah coming back out, no papers in her hand. She was alone, but then Mitch quickly followed, taking Sarah's hand as they walked to Mitch's car.

Louis' jaw dropped as he wasn't expecting that.

"Sarah and Mitch? Really? I would have never guessed!"

"Seriously Lou? I could tell they were into each other since we were in the hospital. Mitch was quiet, but his eyes told a story. And when I went into the hallway one time when you were asleep, they were kissing! They didn't see me, but I thought they were kind of cute together." Louis' mouth was still wide open as Harry told his story. "You're going to catch flies if you keep your mouth open like that."

"Why didn't you tell me? You know I like hearing stuff like that?"

"I was going to tell you, but I didn't want it to slip while we were in the hospital. And the past few weeks it just didn't come up. Sorry."

Louis handed Harry the keys back, and Harry started up the car. They drove home, Louis thinking about what they had just witnessed, while Harry thought about what was to come in the next couple days.
