"Ikaw na lang gumawa, kami na gumawa ng sa histology." I ranted out, nakakadrain kaya tapos wala silang ambag?! Baka gusto nilang sabihin ko ito kay Doc?
"Hindi, umalis kasi kami." So?
I rolled my eyes and got my things up. "Ayaw niyo gumawa?" I asked.
"Nakakatamad kasi." She bursted out at tumalikod sa akin.
Scoffing, I nodded "Ah, tinatamad din akong isulat kayo sa group members," I sarcastically uttered before going out of the class.
Thankfully, 'yun na ang huli naming klase. Well next week, may training kaya magiging busy pa ako lalo. I saw Naths with her other nursing blockmates back then and informed her na mauuna na ako. I can't risk my attitude as of now, marami na naman akong makakaaway kapag hindi pa ako nagpahinga.
I was looking at the ground the whole time, and feeling pissed when I saw my best friend waving her hand at me with a wide smile.
"Lura!" She was worried when she saw me running and hugged me safely with her camera.
Bumitaw din siya agad at tinignan ako nang maigi. "Bakit? Med issues?" She chuckled.
I wasn't able to answer her clarification because of the people around us. May mga kakilala ko na nagtatanong ng picture niya and she happily accepted their requests. Ako ang kadalasan na tinatawag para picturan sila.
"Thank you! Thank you po." Mae thanked her fans and gave them a sweet smile.
Naglakad kami paalis doon at doon ko lang siya kinausap. "Anong nangyari sa 'yo? Anyway, sabi mo next week ka pa uuwi?" Thankfully walang nakikinig.
She's been MIA these past few weeks at hindi nag update sa social media niya. Her fans are worried but she assured na babawi siya, that's what I saw in her recent tweet. Pumunta kami sa parking ng condo, rode my car and went to Quezon City habang nag-uusap.
"Babawi din ako sa 'yo, para kang sira," natatawa niyang saad.
"So? Bakit may camera dito?" Tinuro ko ito at nakitang nagre-record.
"Montage of my day?"sShe asked, not sure why she set it up.
We went to a mall and watched the latest movie that was also recommended by my classmates. Maganda daw and it suits the genre of what Mae and I are really interested in, no other than romance. She paid for our snacks at bumili kami ng damit, and she gave some of her clothes to the victims of the recent typhoon.
Well, this is not our usual conversation. We're not talking about what happened to us recently. Maybe because of what's been happening to her lately which I don't exactly know but she sometimes shares with me a glimpse of what happened, not totally everything. It's her privacy, anyway. Ayoko siyang pilitin na magsalita, I just remind her that I am here.
"Wala kayong plano nila Lauren mamaya?''
She always asks if I'm going to spend the night with them bago siya magplano ng mga gagawin pa naming dalawa. We don't spend that much time together so everytime we do, I try to clear my schedule or to do my tasks when she's not available.
"Sa'yong sa 'yo ako, sulitin mo na."
Natawa siya bigla kaya napatingin sa kaniya yung mga tao sa mall. And there, people started making a crowd, making my friend the reason for it. Agad akong lumayo to give them space. Sorry kayo, kaibigan ko 'yan.
"Lura!" She pulled me closer and her fans greeted me.
Sikat rin ako, baka naman!
"Gusto niyo ng pirma ko guys?" I asked them kaya napatingin si Mae sa akin.
