Norah jumps into Kohen's arms the second we enter Teddy's place. Teddy probably has the biggest house in town, and his parents are never home so it's always used as a party place. I know Teddy's house as well as my own.
Norah leans her head onto Kohen's shoulder and says, "Celia and everyone else is in the living room."
Kohen nods and all three of us head to the living room, Kohen still carrying Norah. She's super sweet. She moved to town a year and a half ago and has been dating Kohen since. She's a little clingy but it's cute.
Once in the living room, Celia jumps up from her spot on the couch and walks over to where I'm standing and wraps her arms around my shoulder, and plants a kiss on my cheek, "I've missed you."
I return the greeting and kiss. Celia is chill, not like Norah in the slightest, but we work well together. My parents like her too which is a plus, so do my friends.
The guys and I went camping over the weekend and just got back this morning so I'm surprised there's a party going on but this is fun. It's relaxed, not like a kegger.
Somewhere in the room Eddie, a close friend of mine asks Kohen, "Dude what are we doing for your birthday? The lake house or dinner at your mom's place?"
The lake house is a two-hour drive away, most people in town all have houses at the lake but we usually stay at whoever is hosting.
Kohen shrugs, "I think mom wants to have a big family dinner at the restaurant but we should go to the lake house after dinner. Eighteen is supposed to be special so why not both?"
Everyone cheers. There are about ten of us in the living room. The others are scattered around the place though.
"Wait, is your sister coming back to celebrate with you. You did say eighteen is special." Teddy asks while entering with beers in his hand.
Before Kohen can answer Celia says, "Gosh I hope not."
Kohen holds up the beer Teddy just gave him and says, "Cheers to that!"
I clink my drink with Celia's, "I can agree with that."
Then we are all cheering for, Reeve Wilmot and hoping she never sets foot back in town.
