His wicked smile sends shivers down my spine and fear through my veins. My breath stops in my throat as we just stare at each other, his hand right at the hem of my skirt.
His blue eyes aren't light like the boy who'd help me with my algebra homework and bake cookies with me for my bake sale. These are the eyes of a vicious man.
I close my eyes hoping that if I blink he'll be gone but he's still there when I open them again.
Goosebumps rise on my leg from where his fingers are trailing.
When I look up from where his hand is on my leg he says, "Shush darling. Don't be scared."
I scream.
I scream.
Waking myself up.
I thought that my dreams had finally left me alone. I thought I was safe, but one can never be safe from their mind.
