It's like she stopped breathing. One second she was ready to break down walls and fight me then she just stopped.
Then she drops, her body falls limp to the floor and I'm by her side in seconds.
I guess there are just some instincts you never lose.
I called the only person I knew I could trust, they may tear down the barriers to hell but I can trust Kohen. He will most definitely not be happy but I don't know what just happened.
Reeve passed out.
I sit on the steps waiting for him. Reeve is on the couch. He'll be here any second and I'm not so patiently awaiting his arrival.
Whatever the hell just happened is another thing I'm going to need an explanation for because never in the time that I've known her has Reeve Wilmot ever passed out. Even when she sliced open her palm and blood was gushing out.
Kohen throws open the door and exclaims, "What the hell is going on?"
Looking down at my hands, still sitting on the steps I tell him, "I just needed to talk to her. Without you, or Celia, or Norah."
"Then why did she faint?" He asks a little more calmly.
I meet his eyes and tell him, "We were talking about the car accident one moment then the next she was out. I don't know what happened."
Kohen sighs and like many situations, each involving his sister he mutters, "Fuck."
