Chapter 2: The Rulers of the Noirs

After getting the gist of my current backstory, I woke up just to be met by the blinding rays of the sunlight.

"Rise and Shine mi amor~!" Asahi cooed while opening the curtains wide.

"Asahi." I called out to him.

"Asahi?" he asked confused while shooting me a confused look. "Did I do something wrong mi amor? Are you angry at me?"

'E-Eh? What happened?'

{"When it's just both of you, you call him hubby."} I heard the system said making me blush.

'What? Are we... Are we dating or something?'

"Mi amor?" Asahi called out while staring at me worriedly.

"Oh... uhm... I'm fine h... hubby." I replied hesitantly.

"Alright! Come on you need to eat after what happened last night; we need to celebrate!" Asahi said and carried me.

"What happened last night?" I asked confused as I placed my arm on his shoulder for support.

"Did you forget about it already?" Asahi asked but then he shrugged. "You were so cool last night mi amor~ You easily defeated 20 noir chefs in a row!"

After hearing it, I bit my lip trying to hold my laugh in. 'I thought I did something inappropriate with Asahi... How nasty (Y/N) ...'

While eating, I noticed Asahi was humming a tune and seems to be in a good mood. "What are you thinking about?" I asked while raising my brow.

"Hmm~ I was thinking about mi amor~" Asahi said making me choke. "Mi amor! Slow down!" Asahi shrieked and immediately gave me a glass of water, which I quickly drank.

"Asahi?" I called out seriously while blushing. I then saw him gulp. Was he scared?

"Gomen mi amor~ Remember the time I told you I'd marry Book master's daughter?" Asahi asked.

"Ahem... What about Erina?" I asked as Asahi looked at me confused.

"You know the Book master's daughter?" Asahi asked.

'Oh...'

"I uhm..." I looked at Asahi's confused look and tried to come up with an excuse. "Ah! Right, Mana-sama and I talked about her once."

"Oh, I see." Asahi mumbled nodding. "So then, I was accepted to teach in Totsuki Culinary School." Asahi beamed.

I chuckled at his reaction and flicked his forehead, "You should be cautious, don't go around telling you're Asahi Saiba."

"Right, what name should I use mi amor?" Asahi asked while crouching down and looking up at me.

I pretended to think while my fingers were rubbing my chin. "Hmm... Suzuki?"

"Suzuki? I love it my queen!" Asahi beamed and kissed my hand. I blushed at his gesture before clearing my throat while Asahi stood up and returned to his seat.

"A-Anyways! When are you going back to Japan?" I asked him before continuing to eat.

"Tomorrow! Are you sure you're coming back to Japan with me?" Asahi asked eyeing me.

"Yes, I can't... uh wait to meet Sarge." I replied grinning.

Asahi smiled widely, "Right... Mi amor favors Sarge among the Les Cuisiniers Noirs. Don Calma's going to send a report later. Also, I've sent the midnight chefs to each respective town." Asahi replied getting serious.

"Hmm, send some men to observe them. If they fail you know what to do." I replied smiling.

"Of course, My Queen (Y/N). I'll make sure to silence them." Asahi replied smirking.
